I had been to a couple of Biscuitvilles in North carolina. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences there. The food was very good and the service was great.
I was very excited when I saw that one was being built near me. But my excitement quickly turned to disappointment.
First and foremost, the restaurant is built on a lot that is too small. It is very, very, very difficult to navigate the parking lot. When the drive-thru is busy, you cannot pull in and out of the parking lot unless you're in the Drive-Thru line.
Secondly, everything that I have ordered so far, and I have been about 5 or 6 times, has either been undercooked, or cold.
I ordered a steak biscuit and it was very red in the middle. Another time I ordered a sausage egg and cheese biscuit from the drive-thru and it was barely lukewarm.
The biscuit quality has also varied. Not consistently properly cooked.
I have ordered grits from the drive-thru twice. One time there was no salt or pepper in the bag, and as I have mentioned before, you cannot get back into the parking lot unless you're in the Drive-Thru. So I did not go back for these.
The next time I ordered grits with my breakfast platter, I asked for salt and pepper at the window since I did not get it before and they said they only had salt.
Got down the road and realized they had not given me any butter for the grits. Biggest complaint is that things just aren't consistent from visit to visit.
The first week or so that they were opened, they had employees standing outside of the drive-thru windows to take the payments and hand out the food. The employees were yelling back and forth to each other and whining in a very unprofessional manner. The way that they were operating also made the drive-thru line actually go slower so I'm glad they stopped doing that. The employee who was outside of the pickup window would take the food and walk back to the payment window to give it to the customer parked at the payment window. So the whole line was waiting instead of letting the customer who just paid pull up to the pickup window to pick up the food. And the employee at the payment window was waiting until people got to the payment window to take the payment instead of walking back and getting the payment from the cars earlier in the line.
So customers were paying and picking up at the same window and the second window was not being used. But an employee was picking up food at the pickup window and walking it back to the payment window to give it to the customer. On the outside of the building. 🤷🏼♂️
I figured the first week there would be some teething problems but I've been back a half dozen times or so and I just don't think I'm going to be coming back anymore. Things don't seem to be getting better.

Decided to give it one more try. Went to the drive-thru.
Paid at the first window and drove to the second window. The employee at the second window asked me to pull up to the first spot to wait for my smoked sausage to be cooked.
Pulled up to the first spot and waited over 5 minutes. An employee came out and handed me a bag with my fries and biscuit but no drink. I told them that I had a drink with the combo. Before I could also tell her I needed ketchup, she walked over to the window, picked up the drink and brought it back to me. No napkins, no condiments.
I parked and quickly walked inside to pick up some ketchup. Of course this defeated the purpose of me going through the drive-thru. It made no sense that my smoked sausage was not hot since that was why I was waiting. You would think the biscuit would have been piping hot since they were freshly cooking the smoked sausage.
I believe from now on I will just not utilize the drive-thru. I will only go if I have time to go...
Read moreYou only get one time to make a first impression. Upon arrival, I wanted to dine in. No bet. The door had a sign that said "drive through only." That's a - 1. I proceeded and ordered a pancake platter even though I wanted to try one of those biscuits. I didn't want to hold anyone up so I kept it simple. Ordered a side of cheese grits as well. Now the pancakes where a decent size. They were ok. Nothing special. 7 out of 10 for me. The eggs were scrambled and cooked hard with cheese. No complaints. I was happy they had sausage patties instead of links. It was sufficient. The grits had a lil flavor but I still had to doctor them up a little. Overall it wasn't bad but I feel like if I didn't have to eat it in my car the experience would've been different. I have to try it again because the drive thru menu was full of food I wanted to try. So I'll try it agian.
Went back again, and the inside was open. At first glance I thought to myself, ok. Decent setup. But after I got my sausage egg and cheese biscuit combo, I didn't have many choices to sit at. Not because it wasn't anywhere to sit. The problem was that more than half of the places to sit needed to be attended to. I'm not saying it was filthy, but it needed some cleaning. Finally found a place to eat my combo. I subbed out the side for cheese grits. I had them a day or so before, so I thought everything was going to be the same. Unfortunately, they were not as previously tasted. They were very runny, even with cheese. Tastes burnt as well. I could only speculate as to why they tasted like that but we're runny. My only guess was that is was after 1pm and they were getting ready to close. Overall i guess I expect to much from a franchise biscuit place. Overall I'd say the biscuit was prefect minus it being room temperature. I'd probably try it again. But I will not leave my residence specially to go to biscuitville. Can't wait till...
