KFC — Restaurant in South Carolina

Horrible experience. The manager on duty was at the register and his customer service skills were not good at all. My friend and I ordered the buffalo crispy colonel sandwich as I was introducing her to it. The sandwiches (and my wedges) came out old and overcooked. I asked the manager on duty to make us fresh sandwiches, which should have been how they came out anyway, and he walked away without apologizing or saying anything. Eventually, he came back and said our new sandwiches were on the way. After 20 minutes of waiting, the sandwiches finally came out and while they were certainly hot and fresh, they barely had any sauce on them but we didn't even feel the need to complain any further. During the time we waited for our sandwiches, we saw the manager have to return money to two different customers, we heard the girls working in the back cursing loudly and complaining about people in the drive thru, we saw customers come inside to make orders and have to wait to be greeted or acknowledged AFTER the manager and those on duty were done with their personal conversations. It was truly a circus. Very unprofessional. As one of the ladies waiting for her food pointed out, "they are running this place into the ground already and they JUST opened this location." It's a damn shame when you can't get what you paid for. I just left the store on Clemson Rd at 3:00pn on 3/6/25. I assumed the manager was a heavy set Black guy. I asked for honey hot. Went back in because I didn't see nothing on my chicken he claimed he fixed it. Got home nothing but straight honey on my food. If you didn't have HONEY HOT why didn't he just say that. What kind of people do you have representing you at your store. That is what y'all call manager material? You damn right I'm mad not what I paid for. No need to take it back because he already told me it was enough the first time. Damn I'm mad because that's what I had a taste for not just chicken with honey poured on it. Never again and I will tell everyone I know do not go there. I hate to say it and I'm Black, a white manager would have made suremy order was correct and would hv told me that dish wasn't available. I docked 2 stars for the mere fact that after I ordered via the app, they got petty with me at the drive thru and said “all online orders are pickup inside”. Excuse me, not everyone wants to park their car and go inside. That’s why a lot of people do online ordering.

If they can’t allow pickups via drive thru, then I cannot order from this place again.

It isn’t my loss either. Plenty of other options in the area.

UPDATE I walked in and my order is sitting on a pickup shelf on the checkout counter, SEVERAL FEET AWAY from the drive thru employee whom by the way was texting on her cellphone and not doing anything. Nobody was in the drive thru line, it was dead quiet in there.
