Coworker recommended this place so we stopped by around 8pm last night to try it out. Based on what was popular on their menu, we ordered the Ming Dynasty Duck Wraps $8.99, 1/2 Cantonese Roast Duck with two choice sides (we picked rice and buddha's delight) $14.99, and a Mongolian Rice Bowl with choice of protein and rice (we picked roast pork and brown rice) $8.99. You order and pay and bring the given number to a table of choice and wait for them to bring food out to you (a food court type of style). The atmosphere is casual. Not too big or too small of an eating space with maybe 8 group tables and maybe 4 couple tables. There is only one bathroom for each gender so if someone is using the bathroom you will have to wait. The bathroom looks new, stocked, and clean although the smell of someone prior who changed diapers lurks in the air. The food arrived at a decent speed, around 10 minutes wait time. Our starter took longer and came maybe another 10 minutes later. My picky foodie bf and I both think the food was decent but not so delicious that we would drive back from Broward County to eat it. Although the duck was not bad, I have tasted juicier duck that leaves you licking your lips for more. This duck was like eating something common like chicken where you eat it like just another meal. It could be because it was night time and the roasted duck has been hanging in the case all day so it loses its fresh taste. Will have to try the duck when it's freshly roasted to really judge if this place makes good duck. I personally thought the Mongolian Rice Bowl was decent. I would order it again with the same protein and rice which filled me up satisfactorily. I personally thought the Duck Wrap tasted good, but foodie bf says there are better. The wrap is made with Peking Duck and the method of making it is skinning the Peking Duck and then adding the other ingredients into a wrap. The flour wrap used is very thin, thinner than the one we got. There should be no bones in the wrap, but we had to spit out bones for this wrap. And the modern way to make the duck wrap is using white buns now. My bf pointed out the price of the wrap $8.99 and says he would rather pay for the entree we got which was the same price and bigger portion versus three hand-size wraps that are just appetizers (i.e. won't fill you up). Utensils (you get real stainless steel forks and disposable wood chopsticks), napkins, sauces, beverages, and takeout boxes are self-served. After meal is finished you bring your dishes to empty at trash can and place in bin for collection (cafeteria style). Overall, the price paid for the portions given for the entree dishes were a good value. Taste was decent but not 5 stars delicious. If it was near where we live, we may come back, but since it's not, it's not a taste we would drive an hour to go get.

Updated 9/24 Temporarily closed basically meaning out of business. You guys really should’ve listened and got rid of that cook. This place was always good until you started cutting ingredients and using an unskilled chef really could not cook your dishes the way they were. Plus raising prices and shrinking portions. Sad to see this, but can’t say I didn’t know it was gonna happen Updated review 10/24/23 This used to be my favorite Asian food place in Boca. Not only is the food gone completely downhill. Totally greasy with no flavor. Price has gone up 50%. Portions have gone down 25%. I hate that restaurants do this to us. It’s one thing to do that but when the food has no flavor And it’s just a pool of gross oil I have to let people know. Not only that the pictures I’m posting the dish was $14.50. I ate a little bit of it but not much at least 2 tablespoons of oil in the bottom of the dish that’s not sauce. Pretty gross actually. I’m here at 7 PM and it’s completely dead. I guess people are figuring out this place isn’t good anymore.. Pictures included..

2 weeks ago I went here to have lunch, there was a hair in the food. Today, I give it another chance and found a hard piece of plastic (the prong from a fork). I'm the type of person that picks at their food, if I were someone who digs right in I would have choked.... again today is 8/5/2022 and there is a fly. I removed it from the veggies because I couldn't believe it. This the third time something like this has happened. I've never gone to a restaurant and had so many problems. NEVER!!!! I DONT UNDERSTAND. This shows they are not being careful nor very sanitary. You have flies flying around the food and no hair nets while preparing and cooking meals. I will never eat here again!!!

Edit: Not even worth your time. I went in at 4:30 pm and was IGNORED while standing AT THE REGISTER for 5 solid minutes. Then the ladies REFUSED to take my order due to some sort of shift confusion. I am absolutely aghast at how absolutely terrible this experience was. I will never return and will go out of my way to alert people of the terrible service here.

5-Spice Asian Street Market is a curious little establishment. It's well furnished and comfortable. The food is solid and has a ton of variety.

The only problem is that the food quality is VERY inconsistent. It is very difficult to get the same experience over multiple visits.

In my case, I love VERY Spicy Chicken Pad Thai. I am from Southern Arizona and I need some serious heat in my dish.

The first time I ordered, I got some mildly spicy Pad Thai. - Oh well, Ill just ask for hotter. The second time I ordered, I get LESS spicy Pad Thai. - Alright, I will make sure to emphasize just how spicy I want it. The third time it was almost too hot! Just like I want it! The fourth time, I ordered it the same way as prior, I got mild Pad Thai again. Today, I ordered it emphasizing I wanted it extremely spicy, I didn't get Pad Thai, I got Pad Thai sauce with a little bit of Pad Thai in it. It was disgusting.

I love the flavors of this place, but the inconsistency is really pushing me to other...

I was really excited to try this place and the food in the pictures looks amazing. Trust me the pictures and the food they bring our look very very different. My boyfriend took me here tonight and he got the malay curry rice bowl. No complaints there it was good, not the best, but pretty good. I ordered the beef pho and when they brought it out it looked kind of funky, not at all like the pictures of it, and the meat was slightly undercooked. But it had absolutely no flavor, for all I know that broth could have been just water because that's what it tasted like. The same with the noodles as well. Some of the beef was properly cooked so I tried and no flavor there either. Since it was so bland and had no flavor at all I asked for a refund because I was going to eat it, something was wrong with it, and that is usually policy at restaurants. Obviously you can't finish your plate and then say there was something wrong with it, but I barely touched it because it was horrible. The woman at the counter was so rude and started yelling at my boyfriend. She also refused to give us a to go container for his curry. This could have been a good review but unfortunately this place is only concerned with money even if they serve you raw beef no refund apparently. Definitely won't be...
