My wife and I have recently established a tradition of visiting Palm Beach Bagel in Boca Raton on Mondays. It's become our "Bagel Monday" ritual, a way to start the week on a positive note as I drop her off at work. While the food consistently impresses us with its quality, the service experience leaves much to be desired.
On several occasions, the gentleman taking our orders has struggled significantly with accuracy. For something as simple as a plain bagel with lettuce, tomato, onion, and avocado, I found myself having to repeat the order up to eight times, which became increasingly frustrating.
Moreover, the overall atmosphere of the establishment is dampened by the demeanor of the staff, particularly a grumpy individual stationed by the POS system. This person often appears miserable and lacks any semblance of hospitality or warmth, never cracking a smile or greeting customers as they enter. It's disheartening to encounter such an unwelcoming attitude, and it certainly detracts from the overall dining experience.
Despite these service issues, we continue to patronize Palm Beach Bagel purely for convenience. The quality of the bagels and the rest of the food offerings keep us coming back, even if the atmosphere and service are less than ideal. It's a testament to the quality of their bagels that we're willing to overlook these service shortcomings, at...

There's two entrances though none indicate which is the main entrance or if it doesn't matter, and nothing to indicate if it's seat yourself or wait to be seated. There wasn't anyone to greet people as they walked in so there was no clarifying. So I opted for take out. To order your food is in the middle but no sign saying where the line is meant to start (left or right?). The menu makes no sense. It is just a list of food options but doesn't tell you that you need to choose what you want your sandwich on, nor what your options are, and it doesn't indicate that it comes with a side, and again doesn't say what the sides are. You just get to be put on the spot and blindsighted by it all. I ended up panic ordering it on a wrap and my side and it's not what I wanted at all if I had time to think and options provided to me. Also, he told me what the sides were and I didn't know what to do with "potato" as an option. Baked potato, mashed potato, potato salad, fries? Who knows.
There were also employees standing around doing nothing which I thought was kind of weird.
The food was good though and I'm sure once you figure out their weird way of doing things it would be fine, but definitely threw me into an anxiety panic going there for my first time. Not sure if I'd go back...
Read moreI want to start off by saying I genuinely love this place as a college student I enjoy coming here because the food is yummy and reasonable. So much so that I decided to bring my dad and grandmother. As this was there first time we wanted to dine in, we came at 2pm and were told the dining room was closed. That is completely understandable but the lady at the front proceeded to catch an attitude with us and recommend only the chopped salad without giving us a menu, id assume to get us out quickly. When I politely asked for a menu she slapped one on the counter and continued to have a rude cold attitude. No customer service at all as she proceeded to make jokes with her coworkers about how we need to just order the chopped salad. There’s an hour until close, I completely understand if we ran in last minuet but I’d hope next time someone who comes in with ample time left of the restaurant being open will be treated kindly and respectfully and not rushed out of the restaurant. I work in a restaurant and even if someone comes in 10 minuets to spare we still give them the opportunity to sit and have a nice dining experience. This has really altered my perception of palm beach bagel and I’m utterly disappointed that the first person you see and encounter when you walk in is so rude...
