Entering the store, one person was at the tobacco convenience counter fingers tapping away on the phone, got a stare with no smile no greeting. 3 people at the Dunkin counter, no greeting, no acknowledgment they were watching TV and talking about it. It actually continued the whole time I was at the counter. There was another person near the coffee machine behind the counter to the left. Still no greeting, the order taker asked what I wanted. I ordered a plain bagel "all you can meet" and a large decaf coffee if it was fresh, she pointed to the coffee had no clue what that (all you can meat) was, I said the coffee didn't look fresh, and repeated what I ordered with out the coffee. Then I explained the breakdown of all you can meat was. As I did that the guy standing next to her explained the same, so he knew what I wanted from the start. The order taker then asked if I wanted it on white bread I said no a bagel. Then I added 2 coffee cake muffins. She then pointed to something completely different so I guided her to the correct item. She then asked if I wanted an ice coffee 3 different times, I explained the decaf that I wanted clearly wasn't fresh and I didn't want a drink. She asked again if I wanted an ice coffee, at that point I ignored her. She rang me up offered no receipt even after I requested one. She forgot to tell me to move to pick up. 2 guys were ordering to the left of me with another order taker at a register, how ever she asked me to move so she could ring them up. I looked up and saw pick up, grabbed the bag of muffins from where she laid them on the counter and after a small wait I responded to plain bagel everything. Said have a great day and left the counter. The guy that was tapping his phone at the counter was now tapping his phone sitting down as I walked by no thank you/acknowledgement. This guy did hold the door for me and opened my car door for me, and said we hope to see you again. Pleasant ending to a disaster... He may have thought of me as secret shopper at this point... Retail best practices: *Greet/acknowledge people At the door. *Let there be no distractions: Ignore the TV, and employees around you unless you need to ask a question. *Know your menu *Offer to make fresh coffee *Pay attention to what the customer is saying so you don't have to ask a question about something already answered. *Thank people for coming. Each person working should do this, specially if there's 3 people in the store. (This may be difficult during extremely busy times but definitely should be practiced) *Present receipts (it's a courtesy, for the company could be an L.P. issue) Hopefully next time Dunkin can earn a 5 star...
Read moreOwner of this establishment was VERY rude from the moment I walked in the door, he claimed I must purchase an item if I wanted to wait for my Uber rather then wait on the side of a Main Street. I said that it was outrageous but offered to buy something only to be then told that I’m not welcome there period purchase or not. No reason, never been there before but the owner asked me to vacate the premises when I hadn’t even been inside for 3 minutes. This is my warning to others, go this establishment at your own risk. How do you have a customer base if you kick people out without any cause? I could understand it if maybe I was drunk or inebriated or if the store was busy and I was preventing a paying customer from sitting, which wasn’t the case. I was the only one in the store besides the staff...
Read moreThe service wasn’t the best here, we ordered 2 dozens of donuts and 6 drinks 3 cosmic cotton candys 2 caramel frappuccinos and one sweet hot tea. The guy didn’t ask us for the sizes he gave us medium for all witch increased the price. The guy forgot one of the drinks (the tea) and my family said the caramel Frappuccino was just coffee with ice. For the donuts he asked us if we wanted the dozen all the same and proceeded to pick out random ones when we specifically asked to choose them. We let him pick out the donuts for the first dozen but we spoke up for the second one thankfully. The donuts were fine although the variety was low. Finally the total came to $37 witch is a good price for all the...
