La Villetta Ristorante — Restaurant in Boca Raton

After coming to this restaurant for several years and introducing many people to this restaurant we will NEVER return. A few days ago I hosted a business event here and was totally taken advantage of. I started the evening by asking co-owner Sal to have 3 appetizers brought to the table to share as we did the last time I held a similar event. When I received the check I was being charged for 15 appetizers for 10 people. When I questioned the amount to the waiter and then Sal the answer was that they needed to serve that many so there would be enough for everyone. I checked my receipt for the last time I held such an event and we were served 2 of each for a total of 6. Sal did make an adjustment to the bill correcting it to 10 servings but with an angry attitude which was very obvious to all at the table. Mario the waiter never asked my preference for water and served us 7 bottles of water at $10.00 each. When it became time for desert Mario brought over the desert cart to the table and after his presentation everyone declined desert. He then without my consent went around the table asking each attendee if they would like to take desert home as though it was included. One of my guest called me the following day to tell me how appalled she was on how pushy the waiter was with desert. Finally, the next morning I reviewed the check and saw that I was charged $24.00 for 6 old fashions for a non premium bourbon. The following evening I held a similar event at Casa D’Angelo, a far more elegant restaurant and by example they charge $19.00 for the same cocktail. With so many Italian restaurant in Boca Raton I will never return to this place again. Yes Sal, you did something to offend me and we have an ethical problem that is...

La Villeta is our new Italian restaurant in South Florida. My family and I are in the restaurant industry, and, therefore, can be tough critics. Well, we went to La Villetta for the first time tonight, and there are no critiques or even constructive criticisms to be had. They completely understood and executed a night where the experience mattered more than anything, where they didn't and will not compromise on quality to gain an extra percent of profit, etc. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately even though dining with our baby and without a reservation on a full Saturday night. The service was second to none, and I mean that in every context of the term. I served for many years in Manhattan to some of the world's most discerning clients, including former Presidents of the United States, hedge fund owners, professional athletes, famous actors/actresses, etc. and the staff at La Villetta maintained every standard I've been taught and have myself, in turn, taught to others. The food was DELICIOUS and the wine selection perfect for the location and for proper pairing... I could go on for a while. The point is, they are amazing, and if you haven't been there yet you...

Laura asked me to take her to her favorite restaurant tonight- La Villetta in Boca Raton. All my years in South Florida and I’ve never been here. OMG was I missing out!! Absolutely the Best!!! When you first walk in, you’ll be greeted by Sal the owner. What an incredible gentleman. His hospitality will set the tone for your entire evening . We started off with April at the bar. This legendary bartender will craft whatever drink you love you’d like and I’m confident you’ll love it. The food is out of this world! Daniel was our server and he recommend some fantastic dishes… try the fresh octopus as an app and it’s amazing! We had the special Sausage and Pepper as a mid-meal and for the entrée linguine and white/red clam sauce (They split it in the back for us). If you love Italian food, you will absolutely adore this place We finished off with a pistachio ice cream shelled in chocolate, as well as a lot of cherries. (apparently I didn’t see the cherry’s because Laura ate them all-) and a homemade cannoli. Don’t miss out on this very special place. You will not be disappointed....
