To: An informed Dinner Guest

It is by a cheerful heart and disposition that I sit to dictate such a review of gratitude. This is in regard to the service I received from Annamaria V, at Miller’s Ale House Store#042; excuse the lengthy review, but it has to be shared! Last month's issue of “Reader's Digest” read, ‘…the key to customer service in today's culture; is no longer a product, but indeed a combination of desire and emotions; wrapped in one.’ Which renders the standard of service defined as the Platinum Rule. The Golden Rule goes as follows, “Treat people the way you want to be treated.” But the truth remains, we are Humans, and we do not all want to be treated the same; such-that of a cookie-cutter.” Please keep this in mind as you proceed to read further. I have dined at Miller’s Ale House (#042) that of a handful of occasions, but whether I came to dine on Rib Tuesday or I decided to grab a burger; no matter the appetite Anna is there with a menu pad in hand; anticipating whatever my needs may be. As mentioned, the Platinum Rule, which extends a step beyond the golden rule for-which reads… “Treat people the way they want to be treated.” This is the level of service that Anna gifts me every times I dine at #042. Though few restaurants have mission statements, I looked at Miller’s core values” 1. Act with integrity and Respect 2. People First 3. Relentless drive for excellence and finally 4. Everyone makes a positive impact inside and outside our House. Might I suggest, Anna knows these values well and executes them flawlessly. As I conclude, I will be candid in revealing that influence is something that I have very little. I am a mere ripple within the oceanic waves of life. But if this review ever meant anything, and words ‘Do’ matter; please allow Anna the privilege to be your server, but more importantly your expert in casual dining at Ale House Boca Raton-Yamato (#042). Let it be known to everyone that her service could be compared to that of (Excellence).

On regular days, food is average to good. It’s bar food...but the outdoor bar is great. The service is fine.

Special events: Went to the Super Bowl party they hold for the past 7 years. It used to be fantastic, but is getting worse every year. The food this past year was below average. The beef roast was literally inedible. It was so chewy and tough, no one at our table could eat it. Shrimp was fine, as usual, wings were just ok. Burgers were terrible. Rest of the food was unmemorable.

Every year we have gone, we usually get a call the next year asking if we wanted to come again. This year we received no call or reminder. We finally got in touch with them (in the past when we’ve reached out first, they told us they would always contact us when they started taking reservations) we were surprised our table we get every year was gone to another party and no one was going to contact us. That’s a little disappointing, and really not good business practice, not contacting your regular customers.

Also this party used to include alcoholic beverages. It stopped that a few years ago as well. You don’t even get beer or wine included.

Finally, this year there were no party favors or drawings with prizes, as in the past.

We found another place that is the same price, but has beer and wine included. We think we will be going there next year. Too bad, because this bar is our neighborhood sports bar and is most convenient.

2019 update: After attending the Super Bowl party for 8 years, we received no call from the staff asking us to return (as they claim to do every year), so we assumed our patronage was no longer valued and...

Jen is an outstanding bartender who always goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy and satisfied. From the moment you walk into the bar, you can tell that she genuinely cares about her customers and their experience.

Firstly, her knowledge of drinks is impressive. Jen has an extensive repertoire of cocktails, and she always knows just the right ingredients to use to create the perfect drink for each individual customer. Whether you want a classic cocktail or something more unique and adventurous, Jen has got you covered.

Secondly, Jen is a true professional when it comes to customer service. She is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of her customers. She takes the time to get to know her regulars and remembers their favorite drinks, making them feel valued and appreciated.

Finally, Jen has a great personality that makes the bar a fun and lively place to be. She has a great sense of humor and knows how to keep the conversation flowing, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes customers want to come back again and again.

Overall, Jen the bartender is a fantastic asset to any bar. Her knowledge, professionalism, and personality make her one of the best bartenders around, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great drink and a...
