I’ve walked by 60 Vines many times and didn’t give it much thought. Now I’m thinking about it a lot! The place is great! A family member asked to meet for lunch on Tuesday and Lisa, our experienced and personable server, gave us an excellent introduction to the restaurant… we loved it. They have 60 wines on tap so there’s something to please everyone. Also, don’t overlook the well-chosen wines by the bottle, fairly priced. But it’s the fantastic food that made me perk up. The quality of the chow is impressive, an interesting menu… we loved everything we had. The ambiance is modern, casual, nicely designed with a lot of different seating areas, including a very cool long bar and outdoor seating.
Our lunch started with a couple of things to share… Wood Roasted Cauliflower w/ whipped eggplant, grilled flatbread, chili oil… Harissa Shrimp w/ cracked olives, braised fennel, garlic, parsley. Both amazing! On the lunch menu, I can highly recommend The Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/ whipped feta, bacon, arugula, marinated peppers, vine ripe tomato. I’ll be back for this again… so good. Sandwiches are served with Crispy Fingerling Potatoes. Loved them! I must warn you; they are habit forming!! Others had salads they loved too. Roasted Carrots: tri-color carrots, sage brown butter, and dill are fantastic. For dessert, the Basque Cheesecake is a winner.
I don’t like to rave about a place after one visit, so I decided to return for dinner a few days later. I’ll spare you the suspense… loved it! We had to have the Wood Roasted Cauliflower again, it’s that good. The Caesar Salad: gem lettuce, radicchio, Caesar dressing, pecorino crisp… very good, super fresh… not your typical Caesar, the dressing is subtle. For my entrée, I had the Pork Chop, this alone is worth a trip here. Highest quality, tender, perfectly cooked on the grill, just delicious. Served with a side of their great Carrots, but I switched them for those insanely good Crispy Fingerling Potatoes I’m now addicted to. Wow! We enjoyed the wines we ordered… Ferrari-Carano Fume Blanc, Paul Hobbs Chardonnay, for red the 50/50 By Joe Wagner. Our waiter, Michael, was awesome. If Lisa and Michael are representative of the rest of their staff, very impressive!
Such a great spot to enjoy fantastic food, nice wines, and excellent service served in a comfortable environment. Even the music they play is well chosen to enhance the experience. During dinner I had the opportunity meet their GM, Austin Schabel, who stopped by our table. I was impressed with his knowledge and the company’s commitment to excellence. The concept started in Texas and there are 12 other locations. Management should be very proud of what they are doing here in Boca. Can’t wait to return!

Read moreSo I was excited to go to this restaurant. I was invited for lunch by a friend of mine. The menu looked delicious, the ambiance and Interior was just my style. We arrive for lunch around 12:30 and there was no one to greet us and the restaurant was not very full. After a few minutes, we were taken to our table to be seated. We ordered drinks, I had an ice tea that had no taste and came with no ice. I had looked at the menu before going so I knew exactly what I wanted to order. The beet and goat cheese salad and the prosciutto and fig pizza. The food arrived and I must say it looked delicious. I took a bite of my salad and I must confess, this salad should have been called a beats salad (the micro greens were minimal and the goat cheese was almost non existent)The 3 variety of beets were so over cooked and tasted downright awful. I had to call another server because our server was busy chatting with the hostess. When she finally came over, I asked her if she could bring me beets that were not as overcooked. She took my plate then a few minutes later came back with the same plate and said they will bring new beets on the side. I asked her to please take the salad back and remove the disgusting beats off my plate. A few minutes later the manager came back with a new salad with beats that looked a little more firmer . Tried again but still very bland and mushy. So I do not recommend ordering the salad. The pizza was good but I frankly don’t remember tasting any figs. I was extremely disappointed with the server and my food. I had to ask for ice for my tea and then again for a refill , I guess she was to busy while chatting up the hostess to notice my drink was empty. Overall, I would say not a great first experience but I am willing to give it a 2nd chance because well, everyone deserves a second chance. I will try dinner next time in the hopes of having a better...
Read moreWe were excited to try this because of the menu. We had a party of 8 and I chose the restaurant thinking it would have a little bit of something for everyone and most of us are wine drinkers. To self proclaim to be "the winemaker's restaurant", I expected more. Out of their red wines on "tap" they were out of 9 of them (the list is not super extensive). Every time we would try to order one the answer was "no, please choose another". So then we thought we would just order a couple of bottles. That process took about 15 minutes just for them to figure out which bottles they had because the only bottle menu they had was on a QR code that was apparently broken. Finally, after at least 30 minutes of waiting, we were given some sort of bottle menu and we chose a wine and asked for 2 bottles. After 10 minutes we were brought back one bottle and another that they had selected because the one we chose, it was their last bottle. This was disappointment after disappointment. A few other things to note: Cutlery no where in sight when our food started coming out. We were looking around for someone to ask and when we finally found someone she quickly tried to solve the problem but I ended up with two forks (no knife). Also, the vent right above us was dripping the whole time on my husband's shoulder. We had to move our chairs apart so it would drip onto the floor in between us. I get that this happens but when I said something to the server because the floor was wet and I didn't want him to trip, he made a flippant comment like "oh, that just means it's too hot in here" and moved on. He slightly redeemed himself after a few minutes by saying if it was too much to let him know but by that time, there were no more tables that would have been able to accommodate us. Anyhow, won't...
