Maria's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Bogalusa

If I could give them zero stars I would! Customer service was terrible and they would not admit where they did wrong! My family and my now sister in laws family told this place 2 weeks in advance that we would be coming to eat there as a party of 25 for a birthday/engagement party. We get there and they only have one server taking care of the entire party and he was all over the place. I came in after some people were already there and I had to point out to him that he needed to take my drink order about 20 minutes after I got there and then it took him another 15-20 minutes to even bring me my drink. There were always empty glasses on the table and he was completely unorganized bringing out our food. Took 6-7 trips to bring all of our food out cause no one was assisting him and some of the food was cold and he was mixing peoples orders up. He gave some people at our table the wrong order and they had already eaten some of it and he just took it away and said it was someone else’s in our party and have those other people that food that was already eaten from and the manager refused to have the order remade for their mistake. Take note that the two orders that were mixed up were very similar which is why when he handed it to the first people, they didn’t immediately notice. This is also a health violation. All management did was basically say that they weren’t going to remake the food and that they had to eat what was given and the server just said that he’s been told that he’s a good server so he hasn’t done anything wrong. This servers service was as if that was his first day on the job. I have been a server as well and he was completely unorganized and didn’t know what in the world he was doing. Todays experience was horrible. We stood for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to seat us, there were only 5 others in the whole restaurant and 3 servers. No menus available you have to scan a thing on the wall to look at the menu on your phone. Drinks and chips come we wait and wait to place order. Place order. Ordered cheese dip, they brought out velveeta dip, no joke, I have made it at home before. Wait and wait for refills on two seperate occasions chips and drinks, when we finally get refills the water and tea were both hot and melted what little ice we had left. Asked for cups of ice, wait and wait. Ice finally comes, wait and wait on food it finally comes, cold as the ice we just asked for before. And the portions were pitiful. Ask for it to be removed from ticket we would just like to pay for our velveeta dip and drinks please. So we waited some more on the check. Food not good and neither was...

This was probably the worse mexican food or not sure what it was of a place since I have been in Mississippi. The reviews said good Margaritas! Well my son and I tried the lunch special plate which was so dry for an tamale?, not sure what anything was because we couldn't get the lady to explain what was what, and it had grease coming out of the taco shell... the beans and rice were just gross. We wasted $8 left hungry oh yea back the Margaritas well we got one each, they tasted straight up like A sweet and sour mix and water. I sent mine back. My son wasted his.
