Uh.... in Bogalusa?

One may find a so-called authentic mexican restaurant in any given city these days. Chains have even improved by adding onion and cilantro to their "tacos"... but you get a crappy pico or salsa... Yo-Yo's has the sauce baby! Salsa verde is tangy lime with a little heat in a tomatillo bath... the rojo is like fire in a bottle... apply both to your tacos (in my case, pork carnitas on corn which are off-menu as is most "authentic" items I'm sure) and you have a party in ur mouth! It's a shame that the American expectation of this food, what many proclaim as the best food in the world, has to be dumbed down by so-called local guides forcing the Proprietors to take their menu from truly authentic over to the standard American expectation.. Hardees and Taco bell are right up the street... please rate them 5 stars so that your followers will stay away from this gem of Bogalusa.

The picture is quite the opposite of what is normally posted but let's just say, it shows how good the tender pork carnitas tacos were.

I would post 5 star rating but i will keep my comments for the cooks directly... in their kitchen... in their ear......

Honestly Zero stars. i came in and no one was at the door to greet us i had see if i could find someone but all i saw we people at the bar and not even realizing people where there. finally got sat it took 6-8 minutes to even have someone not our server take our drink order. she got our drink and again ran off..... to where i dont know because they were so slow maybe if only 4 tables. she came back took our order and i put a order of Queso dio in to with the chips. it took 15 minutes and she brought our food my husbands fries were cold. and i didnt get my salad that came with my pasta. NOR the queso. ...... seriously youve got to be kidding me. we have no idea who she was because she was barely even there only to take our order and bring it thats it didnt check up on us. so my husband asked the check and boxs ( for the food i dont know why) but when she came back she rolled her eyes and threw the boxs on the table. when she cane back with the card she was walked away saying thank you. thank you yoyos for the god awful server. never again!!! get a...

We've been dinning here often for years now and found out today that things occur with your food sometimes that could lead to health hazards. I specifically requested to leave out a particular ingredient. AFTER I had taken a few bites I noticed where they had put it in the dish covered with more of the side dish and sauce, like flowing over the edge amount! I found that pile of stuff that I requested to leave out. Like if they tossed it in and couldn't get it out in time. Some people are highly allergic to certain things.. the cook made a calculated decision action which could lead to serious health hazards and violations. How many times could you order been mishandled? They ask what me want I want and brings me something different on several occasions. Ground beef for shredded. Beef like boot leather. And allowing customers to use profanity around a family environment with children. In conclusion they bring out my botched meal, they bring my wife's food out 5 minutes later, take mine away and I watch my wife eat. No...

We eat here at least once per week. We normally eat breakfast. We get toast, eggs and hash browns. Their coffee is great! Only twice we’ve had our breakfast not come out the way we wanted. One time our toast was burnt. Another our food was cold. Today we decided something different. I got a burger. I liked assembling it myself. While the burger was absolutely delicious, the bottom bun was soggy. My other half got a grilled chicken salad. The only complaint was that some of the lettuce was bad. Very affordable place to eat. I will say… when they get busy the service lacks a little. Still a restaurant I will visit every week! :)

Many times to Bogalusa but my first time to Yoyo’s. I had the Lumberjack with hash browns and link sausage. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The eggs made fresh to order were scrambled to perfection. The link sausage and hash browns were cooked just right. Friendly faces coming in and out as we are all with happy faces and full bellies. What a great place and will definitely return. **Update** Came back for more great food and local fellowship. Never disappointed with the food or service.
