I have always been pleased with Jimmy John's , but tonight was an exception. The food was great, as always, but the service was unacceptable. I understand that mistakes happen, but the delivery driver was unapologetic and didn't attempt to correct the situation. I live in apartment complex, so I understand it can get confusing. They delivered to the wrong address, and when I received the picture message of my delivery, it was a different location, so I texted back that it was incorrect. The driver proceeded to repeat back to me most of my directions via text, but didn't get them right. As if it was my fault. Let me be clear that, in addition to my address that lists my apartment number, I also give detailed instructions as to the location within my complex. The delivery person never responded back, so I had to go throughout my complex to find the delivery. They delivered to the wrong apartment number at the wrong side of the building. Again, the delivery person did nothing to rectify the situation. I called the office to complain, which I hate to do, and they advised me they'd speak with the driver to prevent future issues, then I realized that they never took any of my info, so likely the driver will not be corrected. I always tip 20%+ in advance. I will not be ordering from this...
Read moreFirst, I love the Jimmy John’s downtown, the one on State/Glenwood, and the one on Fairview. This one (1590 South Vista Ave) is on my way home from work. On the vegetarian sandwich they consistently fail to put guac on it. Since they NEVER have the sprouts, it is the guac that provides the flavor. Without it, it is just mayo, iceberg lettuce, and out of season tomatoes. I hadn’t been to this one in at least six months due to the consistent problems. I decided to try it again tonight. Big mistake.
When ordering I told them why I had been gone so long, and asked if they had put the guac on. They said yes. I checked the sandwich, and there was a whisper of guac. A whisper. The girl in charge said that there is supposed to be one tablespoon on that big wheat sandwich. What?! No other JJ in town makes it with 1 tablespoon, which is less than half of the mayo they use. She offered store credit in return for the sandwich. They only have one vegetarian sandwich, so how was ordering another vegetarian sandwich from them going to fix it? I let her keep the stupid sandwich.
I will still eat at the other Jimmy Johns locations in Boise, as...
Read moreObviously by the reviews this place is very poorly ran and managed. I waited 10 minutes in the drive-thru for one sandwich with no one else in line. I asked for no tomato (very simple request that even a 10 year old could accomplish) well the sandwich had tomato on it and it also had a little extra surprise, peppers! Since when did peppers come on the Italian Night Club? I used to work for Jimmy Johns and I did not find it hard to read the sandwich slips or use my god given ears and brain to accomplish orders even during the busiest of rush hours with catering orders stacked on top of each other.
I go back to the store and as I walk in they are already talking about the mistake they knew they made. Not one person in the store apologized for their mistake and instead laughed with each other about it. I also wasn't given a receipt or napkins.
I understand making sandwiches and reading grill slips is a very challenging process for some people (apparently for a whole team today) but the fact that no one even apologized was the sad part.
This franchise owner should be ashamed.
GO TO THE JIMMY JOHNS DOWN THE ROAD ON MAIN OR BROADWAY AND STAY CLEAR...
