I think it’s very disappointing how the manager tried to sneak an additional charge on my boyfriend’s order. When he asked about it, she gave him an excuse saying that the extra charge already came with the order? How is that possible? We’ve been to several potbelly locations and have NEVER been charged extra for something we did NOT ask for, let alone without our knowledge. She also gave him an excuse saying that it had something to do with their “inventory” so that’s why she charged him. So which one is it? Shouldn’t customers be aware of additional charges PRIOR to charging them? Needless to say, she took the charge off......interesting! And It’s not even about the money, it’s about the PRINCIPLE. Also, proper diversity training is heavily needed at this location. I know too many people of color who came to this location and did not feel welcomed, specifically by the manager. Placed an order on their mobile app, and when my husband went to pick it up, they hadn't started the order and were still prioritizing walk ins versus an online Perks order. He ended up waiting 20+ minutes in store, with him having to coach the workers on managing through their situation.
The manager, who was not in due to a personal emergency, then called an hour later to 'apologize.' I really wished she would have waited till she was in a better mental state because she kept cutting me off, and when I told her why we were annoyed, she stated that they're not robots and that she guess she shouldn't have tended to her personal matter. A weird response from a general manager dealing with an unhappy customer.

The food here is what you expect from potbelly’s but if your going to close at 4-5pm midday maybe close your carry out options and list it as closed on your website and app?
