I don’t write bad reviews unless it’s really horrible, mostly because I would feel bad. I do not feel bad about this one, every word of this is true! I have to let you know this place has the worst customer service! If I could rate it a zero I would. I didn’t even get a chance to eat the food nor be in the atmosphere or experience the table service, but will let you know about the hostess/possibly manager experience. I went to get a table for 3, 2 of us were there, the third was coming from work and was meeting us there. The hostess would not see us because all parties were not present. I said ok even though the third-party was 3 miles away, which is what I told her, but she still wouldn’t seat us. I go to the bar outside and get a drink for $15. My third-party drove up as I received my drink, I don’t think I would have received a drink at my table if I had a table at this point. I went inside to get a table and was told they could not seat me because there was no more menus. I don’t get this. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life on top of it the very tall man that was helping the hostess escalated the entire conversation by saying with a raised voice “ma’am we have no menus we cannot seat you” with a very mean look on his face. Well this was very welcoming! 🤪 I was appalled and disgusted how they were treating me! I don’t know who the manager of this place is but the staff needs customer service training. Obviously, they have had customers that were not happy with this practice because he was ready to scold me! I walked out, rather than to continue a useless conversation with any of them! This was the worse service I have ever seen in my entire life. Yes, the place was packed, but I would not eat there if I was given free meals for my entire lifetime! Be warned if you’re going to have dinner here you have to have everyone from your party present in order to be seated. I understand that this is a rule and have experienced that before, but not having enough menus!! There were tables available so this Doesn’t even make sense to me. I could’ve ordered by looking online. In any event, I had to dump out my $15 drink and leave hungry. I would avoid this place, there are plenty other places to go to that will happily seat you and serve you with kindness...

If I could give IGUANA MIA six stars I would! This is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant in Bonita Springs and the Naples area. Value + service + delicious = sooo happy!

My journey started with a friendly greeting by a Laura, a very attentive server who created an upbeat welcoming atmosphere and professional presentation.

Within a minute after ordering drinks, a basket of fresh tortilla chips arrived, accompanied by a platter of pico de gallo salsa, spicy salsa and sour cream...all free of charge!

Within 2 minutes the drinks I ordered had arrived and within 4 minutes the $5 happy-hour (all day) blended margarita With sugar around the edge had arrived! Yummy!

I ordered a the grilled chicken quesadilla with cheese & grilled veggies—which was as delicious as the service was friendly! My food took about seven minutes to get to my table. Granted I wasn't here during rush-hour, so it might take longer at peek times.

I went to take pictures while my food was being prepared and met a gentleman and his wife on their 70s who come here regularly. He told me it's the best Mexican restaurant they've found, and I agreed.

The couple had their dog with them which required them to sit outside but the hot sun made it almost dangerous for them to do so. I noticed the managee Gaiery bring them out of the sun, and staying within the regulations of state laws, this exception managerial (and human being) opened a closed section of the restaurant's patio with shade and ceiling fans to accommodate the needs of this couple and their small, furry friend.

I get chills at this kind of customer care. Its what dining out is all about. Can I give IGUANA MIA 7 stars please! I can't wait to come back!

Special thanks again to my server Laura to the manager Gaiery, keep on keeping fabulous !

PS my only note of criticism was that that booths, which do not have cushions, gave me itchy butt after about five minutes. I mentioned this to the server. She informed me that they had cushions and promptly brought me one! Itchy no more! Scratch that off my criticism list haaay.

Also I noticed a sign that said you get a discount if you pay in cash! Now that's my kind of business ;) Thank...

I have been a frequent customer at iguana Mia for years and this has been the worst experience I’ve had yet. I came in during dinner and our waiter was uninterested in our needs and only showed up twice in our stay. I ordered the fajita special which I order everytime I’m there and the waiter didn’t ask basic questions and just assumed what we wanted. When we ended up getting our food I received maybe 2 fajitas worth of food where the meal accounts for 4. I have been here many times and it has never been this short. I didn’t touch my food and waited patiently for our server to come by and she did not. I had to ask a busser to grab our waiter. When she did come over I addressed my concerns and she said nothing and walked away. A few minutes later, I assume to be the manager, came to our table. He told us that the food I received was measured in ounces and was the proper amount for the special. Now I have been here over 20 times in the past year and never received this little food and seeing my partners food she received practically double than me. But the manager persisted that my food was the proper amount( which it was not) and didn’t offer any help when all I ask was a little more to have enough for even the 4 tortias in the special. When I ask for more food I had no customer service and told if that if not satisfactory I could leave.( which I did) the supposed manager was so rude and didn’t even address my basic concern which was clearly that I didn’t get the proper portion as seen even from my parters plate but he would not acknowledge that. We were told that we could leave and didn’t even eat any food. I am still confused why my concern was not addressed and just blatantly asked to leave instead of just fixing a basic issue. I will not be going back, this experience was terrible and would recommend people to stay away for this restaurant until...

I’ve eaten here about a 100 times and the place is missing the mark on service, cleanliness and food. People need forks and knives to eat. I understand if you’re missing two setups on a four top, but when you repeatedly have to ask for two setups after your food comes and still nothing… I had to go to the back of the restaurant and get my own forks, knives and napkins. When we first walked in there were numerous empty tables and booths. Why we were made to wait, and then seated at dirty table, with dirty seats is really poor management and training on top of the table not having setups. Then their spicy salsa I’ve eaten 100 times comes to the table and it has a bad chemical taste and the tomatoes are old and not what I’ve had before. I hope with all the new construction on Bonita Beach road we get a decent Mexican Restaurant. Perhaps some competition will get the restaurant back on track. I’d stay away from Iguana Mia until they get back 80% of what they lost on service, food, cleanliness and hospitality. You should put serving utensils in large appetizers that are being shared. If the waiter is asked for water and can’t get to it, ask a busboy so the table doesn’t have to wait too long. Getting another table their check does not take priority over getting water for a table that’s been waiting. When you’ve finished taking the drink, appetizer and entree orders, take the menus off the table so they don’t interfere with service or seating. You served the entrees and never removed the appetizers and we had to pile up dishes and clean the table. When we asked to you to remove them, we were told it’s not their job. “How was my meal?” No one ever asked! What gets me, is there are kind, nice people who work there, management needs to see how the restaurant is so lacking in “industry basics”. Come on guys…. You can do better!!!!

I really enjoyed the food and drinks here! Frozen Mango Margarita: Yum! Nice thick texture and they don’t skimp on the alcohol 😉 Complimentary salsa and chips: the chips are really good and I like that they bring pico de gallo, salsa, and crema together. Texas dip: Wow this was delicious! Layers of seasoned beef, beans, and cheese. I dipped my tacos in here and had a total food ‘gasm!!! Carnitas plate: I had this with flour tortillas and really enjoyed it! I wish the beans were more refried style but I just mashed them with a fork so it wasn’t a big deal. The meat was flavorful and the ingredients were fresh (I’m obsessed with cilantro- so glad it was part of the dish!) Fried Ice Cream: this was a bummer. It’s not actually fried ice cream (it can be done- I’ve seen it at NYC street fairs). This is just an ice cream scoop covered in stale cornflakes. Definitely disappointing. The ice cream itself was tasty so it wasn’t a total loss. Service: Our waitress was nice and attentive. I was dissatisfied with one aspect: upon arrival we were not greeted even though there was someone at the front area. We were standing up front for a few minutes with an employee who didn’t acknowledge us. Yes she was busy entering something in an iPad but a simple look up and a “Hi, someone will be with you in a moment” would go a long way in making patrons feel welcome. Ambiance: Fun decor
