Walgreens — Local services in Bonita Springs

This review is for the Walgreens 13520 Tamiani Trail in North Naples, Florida.

I usually go to the drive through but had to go in this time. Unfortunately, I am on crutches due to a recent hip surgery. I am in pain and have been battling depression. I went in to pick up pain meds and a new medication that I need for the depression that was called in by my doctor. The pharmacy tech very rudely told me they didn’t have it, that they might or might not be on order and I can come back in NEXT Tuesday! My eyes filled with tears and I told her I am leaving next the state Tuesday. She couldn’t help me at all. I literally left the pharmacy in tears. No words. Just a huge feeling of sadness that a person could be so nasty and mean for no reason. Her attitude and the way she spoke was so cruel. I made my way to the front register to pick up an online order and told the cashier, Darlene, what happened. I burst into tears again. She was so incredibly kind and sweet. She even walked me to my car and placed my bags in the front seat.

The moral of this story is please try harder. Be kind. You never know what someone is going through. I hobbled up to the pharmacy on a very tough day and still managed to be polite and put on a smile. This woman could have totally sent me over the edge and nearly did. I walked away in tears and with no solution to my issues. I am very thankful for the kindness of Darlene.

I will never use this pharmacy ever again. I posted this on FB and have received messages from local friends telling me they were treated poorly at this location too.

I was warned by a friend not to use this pharmacy, but had a prescription to transfer from a Michigan Walgreens, so gave them a try. Pharmacy staff is rude and incompetent!! Numerous times they have mishandled a prescription or failed to transfer from my old pharmacy. The last instance, I was tranferring a non-narcotic blood pressure med from CVS across street (CVS was great, but didn't take new insurance), Walgreens said it'd be 48 hours to do so. I came back 3 days later and they had no idea who I was or what I was talking about!! Then more recently I was attempting to get a refill of a prescription I had at a Walgreens in MI. Although they had info on their computer, for some reason they said it'd take 72 hours to even call the MI Walgreens to transfer, rudely reminding me that there were many people in front of me (Bonita Pharmacy called MI Walgreens and had it done almost immediately). So I called the MI Walgreens, and they said to talk to manager at FL Walgreens and hung up on me!! Needless to say, I'm done with ALL Walgreens pharmacies. I tranferred all prescriptions to Bonita Pharmacy and got amazing service (they have 5 stars). I see why this Walgreens has so many 1 star ratings, and I think a lot of the problem is that they're under staffed and management is unable to hire and/or train people to the level they need to be to work in a very busy pharmacy. I went in for passport photo that they advertise and also say it includes a digital email of photo which I needed to renew my PASSPORT ONLINE! The rep could not get the email to me. He asked me to stand outside for a bit as he said internet reception was not not that good inside and so I did. I still did not receive a digital email. He said may take awhile and so I left as he said would try sending it again and call me. I called about 3 hrs later as I never got it. He said he would try again. I called later that nite- new store manager on now. I told him problem and asked him to try. He said their system might be down. He said I would have to come back to store and bring the passport photos but I said I had updated my store account and please try. He said he would. I never ever got it. It is the next day and I give up. Three employees tried and I spent way too much time dealing with this. Walgreens should not advertise online that they provide this service of a digital email of photo. My advice for those needing a passport photo to renew their passport online is— dont go to Walgreens.
