Genesis Mexican cuisine — Restaurant in Boonville

Genesis Mexican has been by far the best food we’ve had since we have been on our cycle trip starting in Kansas City. The location is convenient and easy to get to from the Katy trail and there is plenty of seating. The menu has all the dishes you would expect and also an impressive vegetarian menu! Everything we tasted was exceptional, the chips and salsa verde were super fresh and flavorful, as were the two house made hot sauces we got with our meal. I had a mushroom huarache which was delightful and had plentiful and well seasoned mushrooms and beans. It also had well proportioned toppings compared to the masa base. My husband had a carne asada taco and mushroom quesadilla. The steak on the taco was delicious and had a delightful char grilled flavor. This is a nice, clean, well lit restaurant, with very nice staff. The food is very flavorful. The sauces are amazing and will leave you wanting to come back for them. The vegetarian options are slightly limited, but the ones I have had are excellent. Most of the menu items seem to be in the $10-$15 range.
