River, Rails & Trails Museum — Attraction in Boonville

This museum is soooo charming, clean, spacious, well-laid out, and beautiful. The displays were very tastefully done and well explained. The gift shop is easy to access and reasonable in prices. Please consider adding to their donation jar to keep this museum up and running and expanding. It is worth it, doesn't take up much time at all to view everything, and even offers a little fun with their train exhibit (which is absolutely amazing in its details). For a quarter, you get to make the train run! Can't beat that! Plus, the location is perfect to visit nearby...

Clean nice building with free parking just outside. They have a number of period pieces dealing with the Missouri River and lots of items from the railroad that ran through Booneville, MO. There is a shaded deck around the building where you can sit and enjoy the large plants that decorate the building. Friendly staff and souvenirs of the area and the bike trail available...

This visitor center was great. All kinds of hard to find data and wonderfully presented artifacts. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff , willing and able to answer tough questions. Well equipped gift shop on site, but I purchased most of the XXL stuff. Looking forward to my return later...
