It was my first experience at this Casino/Hotel and it will be my last. The Hotel itself was nice and I had very few issues with the room. The fridge had a few broken pieces and the coffee maker was gross, besides that the hotel was fairly pleasant.
The Brew Brothers restaurant experience was awful. It was about a 15 minute wait, just to find out there is seemingly only one waitress. She did her best, but the service was not good. Took forever to get food or drinks. Food was okay, not worth the wait. Finally go to pay and they have up-charged me on a drink! They charged me $9.50 for a drink that was listed on the menu for $8. They refused to take it off or do anything other than request I pay the total. I argued and waited for around 10 minutes as a line built around me. They made me feel embarrassed and like a burden for an issue that wasn't on me. Eventually I paid with the promise someone would reach out to me. That was Friday (8/18). It is now Tuesday (8/22) and nothing yet! The manager told me there was nothing he could do. Not only is it possibly illegal to charge people different prices than advertised, but it's bad business.
Finally head to the casino and the security officer tells me the person I am with violates the dress code. I respond with shock as I wasn't aware there was a dress code. I ask where it is posted, as if I had known that, I would of make sure everyone was following it. She got bent out of shape and replied she is security and knows it and she can call her supervisor over. I leave, not wanting trouble, and head back to the room. My company is crying, mortified at being treated that way. I talk to the person at the hotel front desk and they inform me there is no dress code. It is up the security person to deem something inappropriate or not. Another great business practice! We wanted to leave at this point, but everything was nonrefundable.
We try the casino again, as we might as well get our moneys worth. It was fine until I went to use an ATM for the 2nd time halfway through my night. No issues my first time. The second time the ATM charged me and never gave me any money. I go to the cashier's office with a receipt and they explain I won't be charged. Considering I just had to file a complaint with my bank due to the charge, yet another lie!
I have never been to this location or a casino in general. The person I was with had not either. I will not be going back here and have spread the word amongst the people I know to stay away as well. You would think a company such as Caeser's would have higher standards. I'm just a college kid, but I deserve respect just like anyone else does. This place, clearly doesn't understand how to treat...

We always get wonderful treatment when we stay here, however we are at Brews Brothers restaurant in the casino and had a very upsetting experience. Jennifer was our server. It took her 15 mins to come to our table to order our drinks. She was very unfriendly even when she was treated respectfully by my mom and I. She did not come back to refill our drink at all. She was impatient when we asked to order dessert and walked away while we were speaking to her. It was not busy at all in my opinion. She did not come back with our desert. After 25 mins of waiting I went to the bar and requested our ticket and to get our desserts to go. She came out 5 mins later with our ticket and commented very sarcastically, NOW you want dessert to go!?". I was done with being nice at this point. I reminded her that she walked away while I was speaking to her or she would have known to make it to go. While we were paying the manager came out and was not very apologetic for her actions and made an excuse that they were busy. They were not busy and I felt he was very dismissive. I love the staff at the hotel and the casino. I also really like the staff at the other walk up restaurant called Trade Winds but I will never eat at Brews Brothers again. Big disappointment!! I hate to lower my star rating but this is why. I really enjoy my stay every time I come to the Isle of Capri! The room was beautiful and spacious and I love the decor. The rooms have spectacular views of the mighty Missouri River the Katy Trail bridge in some of the rooms have a view of the historical train station. The public restroom by the casino was very clean. The buffet was great I had crab legs and they were phenomenal. We went to the Farradays restaurant. It was very elegant and romantic the server was extremely helpful friendly and efficient. All of the staff throughout the casino and hotel are very friendly. The casino has just recently been renovated inside and out and it looks fantastic! My favorite part about the casino the giant goldfish. I really enjoyed feeding the fish everyday several times a day. They have a dispenser so that you can feed them a handful for $0.25 each. There are so many great little shops downtown within walking distance of the casino. There's also the historic Katy Trail bridge and a beautiful and the mighty Missouri Bridge. I love staying at the Isle Capri in Booneville. It's my...
Read moreWhile I appreciate the vacation rate special that was offered, it seems like your brand set this location up for failure. Rooms were not up to par! If you're going to run a big promotion - make sure every location is up to brand standard and ready for it! We were placed on the 6th floor of the hotel which was awful. I get that the smoking rooms don't get as much updating & attention as the others, but the condition of the carpet, furnishings and bathroom were unacceptable. There were so many stains on the carpet (see photos) that could have easily been taken care of had a housekeeper or rooms inspector given the care to do so. A cheap carpet shampooer from Walmart would've done the job in less than 30 minutes. The base of the toilet had grime and dried on fluids (that wiped right off with a tissue - see photo) so it clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. The chair had mystery stains on it and the table in between the chairs had tape holding it together. There was already ashes & tobacco on the bathroom floor near the trash can before we even unpacked - so clearly it had been missed by the previous guests. When I went to unpack and put away clothing, the drawers of the dresser had ashes, crumbs, coins etc in them so those hadn't been cleaned either. While $140ish a night isn't a huge price to pay, it was definitely not worth what we paid for two nights. Sadly, this was once a nicer establishment in the area to visit. As for maintenance, there was one elevator down which was a bummer but that's beyond your control - things happen. I did call the front desk after many attempts (buttons on the phone do not connect you to where you need to go and pushing 0 goes no where - unless you hit the hang-up lever once) to let them know that either the window or the ac unit at the end of the hallway facing the parking lot on level 6 had been leaking and the carpet was soaked - it sloshed when it was stepped on - wish I'd known that before I set my bags down and got everything soaked. When we went to check out (7am), it wasn't even worth trying to voice our concerns as it didn't seem like the first time meant anything to anyone. Working in the hospitality industry, I get that you can't make everyone happy & reviews are all over the board. However, I feel that this is one of those times that justifiably deserves a complaint & attention...
