Me , my husband and my 5 year old granddaughter went to eat breakfast at this place on Sat morning 4/14/18. We sat ourselves a, a female server by the name of Charlie took our drink order and left she left and we got a new server , which didn't seem odd at the time. Our new server took our food order. Moments later the original server came by out table and attempted to chastise my granddaughter, she told her" young lady you need to stop bumping other people's chair. " I immediately stopped her and told her to direct anything she had to say to the adults, being her Grand parents. The patrons who's chair she allegedly bumped told us that she hadn't bumped their chair at all. I went to the front to tell management about this servers behavior. The lady that I spoke with, Heather told us that "the original server Charlie didn't feel comfortable waiting on you'll and we just want everyone here to have a good dining experience". I was livid. Although we were the only African American family in there I assumed that it didn't make a difference, but based on Heather's response I knew that this was the reason that her server didn't want to wait on my family. I asked Heather was she the manager and she quickly stated that she was the owner. Everything in me wanted to grab my family up and leave immediately. I left the counter, Heather did not once offer an apology or explanation for her or her servers actions. Tears fell down my face. I decided to return to my table with my family. We finished our meals, I tipped the new server and vowed never to return. My husband spent 25 years in the Air force and stood proudly to protect the liberties of All races no matter what and I gladly stood by him. This place was an embarrassment to our great land. We will gladly take our business elsewhere, where every one will will be treated equally. We work to hard to settle for...

I’ve been going to Strawns on both Kings highway and Youree drive for over 30 years but this was the first time we tried out the Bossier location. Long story short the food was fine but the service and atmosphere was horrendous and embarrassing for the franchise. Having to wait wasn’t an issue especially since it was apparent they were short staffed. The issue came in the form of the waitresses who would non stop, loudly remind anyone within listening range that they were short staffed and how bad their day was. This combined with one of the waitresses “warning” us about another waitress who was serving our table. She said to “please don’t allow her to bum you out” and rolled her eyes. Our waitress (eye makeup tattoos, hard to say) was trying but really needs to understand that patrons don’t need to hear about how insane and unorganized the restaurant is while they’re just trying to enjoy a meal. It makes everyone uncomfortable and creates a really bad atmosphere. Our experience was capped off with another waitress YELLING across the restaurant (extremely loud) giving orders to another staff member who wasn’t doing something right. We went to pay a gentlemen with blonde hair who never said a word, didn’t make eye contact and was about as unfriendly as one could possibly be. Suffice to say we will NEVER return to this location unless a new manager comes on board and...

We came for Mother's Day lunch. The food was overpriced. My wife and daughter both got a stack of pancakes with a side of bacon. I got a bacon omelette with a side of "hash browns"(they were scallop potatoes) and a cup of okra(which was almost $5 by itself). We also got drinks. Our ticket totalled $54.45. The food was some of the worst breakfast food my wife and I have eaten. The omelet was small, especially considering the cost, and basically hollow inside. The cherry on top was the service. It was not great putting it gently. Trying to be understanding, our waitress was probably tired after working the lunch rush. That being said, she was very rude to my wife when I went to the restroom to wash my hands after eating. She said "You need to pay so we can close down the register." That in itself was rude but the man at the register, when he asked how everything was and I brought this statement to his attention, doubled down and said well yeah I need to shut down the register. If the owner or higher level management gets to read this I would address this type of behavior with your staff as it doesn't reflect well on your establishment. We will not be returning any time soon and will be sharing our experience...

Founded in 1944. The omelet is huge and has plenty of flavor, maybe one of the best omelets I've had. Biscuits with gravy were big, not too much suasage flavor in the gravy, which I appreciated. The strawberry icebox pie was absolutely amazing and a must-have. I will probably get this pie every time I come. If you love strawberry shortcake, then you'll love this. Atmosphere was busy and set up like an old diner. (Clearly the spot in town). ONLY ONE draw back, the cook was yelling at the waiters, one of the waiters yelled back that she was with a customer. The cook (continued) on for about 5 minutes talking/yelling to himself (very loudly). A couple of people around me noted he (did this last time). But the food was good enough to go back, and we will. Wish the cook would settle down, definitely messed with the vibe a bit. All in all it was a good experience. Just a bit of drama.

The place was packed. As to be expected. A local foodie recommends this place. The art on the walls is a nice touch. Cartoons of Hollywood gone by. The food was good. The pie sadly was not. We got a piece of strawberry and a piece of chocolate. The chocolate was bitter and not smooth, almost like a batter that is not mixed all the way, and it was not sweet at all. It's definitely not what I expected. Even the kids would not eat it. We got the chicken fried steak (daily special), the breakfast with 2 eggs, a waffle, fried potatoes, and sausage. The fried okra was good. The chicken was good, the breakfast was good. It's hard to mess up breakfast. We never got refills on our water or coffee. This place is worth checking out. The cook was amazing. We watched him while we waited. My husband said he needs to be the highest paid person working here.

This place was such a surprise. Walked into the feeling of a 50's burger joint. Which was amazing. I was greeted as soon as we walked in the door , so I immediately felt at home here . The waitress was equally warm and cheerful. And then they brought out what I am not referring to as the Bomb. Lol. The two biscuits for appetizers were so delicious that I could not stop eating them. Was so good that I added an order of biscuits and gravy to my omelet order. The omelet was the healthy one, and it was absolutely delicious. This place is in the #1 spot for me so far beating out Binions at the horseshoe. This place is the complete package from service to food. What a gem. And let's not end the review without giving absolute rave reviews to the cook. He was better then LeBron of cooking. He was like the Goat Michael Jordan of cooking.
