My daughter was craving Thai food (a total but pleasant surprise to me) and this place popped up with good reviews. Let me tell you, they are well deserved!!
Our waiter Ralph was new but the definition of friendly and eager to help. He even offered great recommendations and feedback on our choices. We decided to get a few things and share. For starters we had Egg rolls (awesome!), Crab Rangoon (good but needed more filling), and Thai Fried Crispy Dumplings (BEST DUMPLINGS EVER!). Each came with a little side of red Thai chili sauce, which was good but standard.
For the main courseā¦.TUM YUM GOONG w/shrimp ( the SP1 on their menu). This was a large bowlful and a generous side of rice. It was a new dish for us and we both loved it! They call it āone of the most famous of all Thai foodā and we now understand why.
Family friendly, decent amount of seating and spotless clean inside. It may be a little out of your way but if you want a true taste of authentic Thai, itās worth the trip! ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Thai food here does not disappoint, easily the best weāve had in the area. Weāve tried a few different appetizers, which have all been delightful but our go-to for dinner is the Penang curry, spice level 5! Has the perfect blend of sweet and spicy and the vegetables are always perfectly cooked. The service is always great and the food has always been perfect whether we are dining in, picking up takeout, or having it delivered. The best Thai food in the area and one of the best restaurants in this area in general.
Review Update: Zaap Thai remains our favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I wanted to share that I recently learned while dining-in that their spice level goes up to 10!! Amazing news. When ordering online, you are only able to order up to a 5. I tried the spice level 6 (Penang Curry) and it quite literally brought a tear to my eye. Absolutely delicious. Iāll try the 7 next time, so keep me in your thoughts...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can not say enough good things about Zaap Thai. I am not from Shreveport/ Boisser City. I am here working and when I asked where the best Thai food was around, this is where I was pointed. I was not pointed in the wrong direction. The owner helped me decide what to order. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai (Chicken) soup! I am calling the best soup I have ever had anywhere. Hands down! I also got the Pad Thai (which is my favorite Thai dish so, how could they make it better) They make the best Pad Thai. It had just enough spice. A Smokey taste I wasnāt expecting. I couldnāt believe the burst of flavor. They are doing something right! If you think they are a little pricey, give them a try and you will know they are worth every penny!!! I didnāt think it was pricey at all. I also go the fried dumplings and they were cooked to perfection. The dip that came with them was the right combo of...
