I recently ordered a few pies for delivery - the Sausage and Peppers, Mushroom, and Cheese - excellent examples of what a Greek pizza should be.
The Sausage and Peppers pizza was a symphony of flavors, with juicy, perfectly seasoned sausage dancing a tango with the sweet and slightly charred peppers. The Mushroom pizza was a forest of earthy goodness, the mushrooms perfectly cooked and not at all soggy. And the Cheese pizza? Well, it was a gooey, cheesy delight that would make even the pickiest of cheese connoisseurs swoon.
What really stood out to me, though, was the crust. Oh, that crust! It was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, with just the right amount of char. It was like a Greek chorus, singing the praises of the toppings and bringing the whole pizza together in perfect harmony.
The only reason I'm not giving Cappy's a full 5 stars is that I haven't had the chance to try their subs yet. But if their pizzas are any indication, I have a feeling their subs will be just as heavenly.
If you're in the mood for some Greek-style pizza in Boston, Cappy's Pizza & Subs should be your go-to. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you. And who knows, maybe I'll see you there, ordering a sub and trying to decide which pizza to get next. After all, life is too short to settle for mediocre...
Read moreSmall local pizzaria in Jamaica Plain. Little more than a hole in the wall with a small seating area, at least two average size booths and four window seats. Large wall menue, but amazingly no listing of pizza. I asked and the woman taking orders gave me a paper menue listing gourmet pizza. I asked for a small cheese pizza, which is not listed on the menue. The woman who took my order was friendly and the small cheese pizza for the price of $8.30 was excellent. I ate in, was given paper plates, plastic utensils, and napkins. The plastic fork & knife are the bare bones minimum, but hey it's disposable. As I ate I observed the amount of customers coming and going, the friendly rappaport between the staff and the customers and deliveries being made. Cappy's is definitely a popular neighborhood place. The bathroom is less than desirable, but to be fair it was out of order & they were gracious enough to let me use it. All in all I was pleased with the food and...
Read moreI've been going to this specific Cappys for over 17 years. It used to be surprisingly good for a sub shop. You could even get a decent breakfast. Just tasty filling food. As of late, every experience has been bad. They've jacked the price up and what they give you is HORRIBLY undersized. It's like they're putting LESS than a small size amount of meat on a large sub. And the quality, when they even get the order right ,is less than mediocre. Since the old man was gone at tge helm( dont know how long its been) its steadily gone down to this point. I HATE to give a bad review to a neighborhood mom and pop, but they just downright sick. And for a person on a fixed income who really doesn't get sandwiches out often unless there's a serious time crunch or extenuating reason,I just can't afford here any more. Good luck to...
