Flames — Restaurant in Boston

Walked into flames to pick up a plate of food. Server prepared my plate while cashier started eating her food. At first I was taken back that she was eating her food in between customers with the same gloves where she was handling money and people’s food. However, she wasn’t opening treys. When I got to the counter this woman put her food down and then opened my trey. I paused and looked at her and said did you just open my food. She said what’s the problem. I said you are eating you haven’t sanitized your hands or changed your gloves like mam. You don’t open people’s food if you are going to touch your own food. If you need to know what I ordered Just ask.

(I get it when you have two people working you need to be able to eat. That’s not the issue I had. The issues was strictly her lack of sanitary practices and on top of that the way she communicated with me thereafter.

She turned to the woman who was preparing someone else’s plate and begins talking to her and then Pauses with an attitude. So I standing there looking at her like what’s the plan are you just going to passively IGNORE me?

The other server finishes fixing the plate and then begins moving some Pots and pans and other things. I literally paused and said to myself why are you still here like their being rude just go somewhere else. So I asked the lady are you refusing to serve me now? She said I literally just asked her to fix you a new plate. I am sitting there looking at her like mam did I know that? I don’t speak your language and you stood there with an attitude passively ignoring me. I said you know what I am good and I walked out and went up the road and got pizza. Grove hall & Randolph location argue with their customers & argue amongst themselves in front of customers. So unprofessional!

This morning I went to the grove hall location to get chicken soup. I paid and something told me to check it before I left. Jamaican chicken soup is usually made with pumpkin but this soup was brown with beans. I’ve NEVER had beens in my chicken soup before. Only in veggie soup. I brought it to the lady’s attention & she quickly got an attitude & told me I need to ask what’s in it next time! I’ve never had to ask before, why now! Due to her NASTY ATTITUDE I then proceed to ask for my money back! They’re in there creating their own recipes and not informing their customers. I work hard for my money & I refuse to pay/support disrespectful businesses. My family & I will no longer be supporting this business until I speak to...

Yall. I’m confused. Everyone I know loves flames but I have yet to be convinced. Everybody knows the customer service is trash which is honestly fine idrc. But the food better be good. The food, to me, is meh. And I don’t care to put businesses on blast but had the worst tilapia of my life from flames yesterday. Yall I love seafood, any kind of seafood I don’t discriminate. But that tilapia tasted 3 days old. So I was like okay move on the rice and peas. Now someone f-ed up. The rice and peas was SPICY. Not like oh that’s some good heat but like burn ya lips burn ya tongue spicy! Like someone knocked a jar of cayenne in it. The RICE! And yk the cabbage don’t taste like nun.
