I grew up in Dorchester so I have been a customer for more years that I can count even after I moved away. It’s been awhile but I was in the area and asked for a chocolate chip cookie for my husband and I asked how much a small and a large sausage sandwich would be to decide what made more sense. The cashier explained it would be double for a large lol. Since she didn’t give me the price and explained a large wasn’t available anyway as they only had small rolls I asked for one with nothing but the sausage and some butter and brown sauce. The price for a cookie and that roll was $10.89. I don’t mean to sound cheap but for one cold sausage with what didn’t seem like butter on a small little bulkie and a cookie was not what I would consider to be nominal but so be it. I just think prices should be posted as not to wonder and have sticker shock. With that said, I absolutely love the cakes and sweets anytime I have been in before and love the breads. This is a gem. Just be more...
Read moreThis bakery is great as long as you are getting what you ask for. Everytime i buy a whole pie in this bakery, I always ask the girls if this is freshly made today. If it is yesterdays bake I don't want it. They always say its freshly made today. I'm fed up buying day old pies. They promise it's baked that same day and you take it home and when you cut it you know it's at least a day old. Fresh pastry is nice and crisp, day old pastry is soft and does not taste good. If you sell day old pies that's fine as long as you tell the customer that they are yesterdays bake. But when you are specificially asked if it is today's bake and told yes, but you take it home and it is obviously yesterdays bake when you cut it. It's very aggravating and annoying. I end up throwing the whole pie out. I'm sick of it. Why can't they tell the truth if something is day old then it's day old. LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW. I'm sick of this bakery lying about...
