A taste of Ireland in Dorchester! I have driven by Greenhills Irish Bakery many times, but never had the chance to visit. I made the time to go, and it was a wonderful experience. All of the employees were friendly and helpful, and there was a large selection to choose from. I got a croissant with spinach and feta, a cranberry scone, and a coffee. Everything was delicious. The next time I go back, I will definitely get the Irish breakfast sandwich. Slainte!

If you're ever in Dorchester, stop in to this place! I got a tip that the Irish Breakfast roll was good, and it was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. No question. I got a tip to get it with butter, ketchup, and brown sauce, and that was the move. It was the best. The meat, bread, all of it. I got the small, and it hit the spot. The cinnamon rolls were excellent, too. I will look for any excuse to come back.

Adorable little shop. They have a box of day old items which is fun. The banana cookies weren’t my fav but the raspberry pastry I got for my friend was, she tells me, delicious. There is a small step to get in, and it is a little crowded, but there’s seating as well if you want to stay, and parking out front on the street.

I grew up in Dorchester so I have been a customer for more years that I can count even after I moved away. It’s been awhile but I was in the area and asked for a chocolate chip cookie for my husband and I asked how much a small and a large sausage sandwich would be to decide what made more sense. The cashier explained it would be double for a large lol. Since she didn’t give me the price and explained a large wasn’t available anyway as they only had small rolls I asked for one with nothing but the sausage and some butter and brown sauce. The price for a cookie and that roll was $10.89. I don’t mean to sound cheap but for one cold sausage with what didn’t seem like butter on a small little bulkie and a cookie was not what I would consider to be nominal but so be it. I just think prices should be posted as not to wonder and have sticker shock. With that said, I absolutely love the cakes and sweets anytime I have been in before and love the breads. This is a gem. Just be more...

This bakery is great as long as you are getting what you ask for. Everytime i buy a whole pie in this bakery, I always ask the girls if this is freshly made today. If it is yesterdays bake I don't want it. They always say its freshly made today. I'm fed up buying day old pies. They promise it's baked that same day and you take it home and when you cut it you know it's at least a day old. Fresh pastry is nice and crisp, day old pastry is soft and does not taste good. If you sell day old pies that's fine as long as you tell the customer that they are yesterdays bake. But when you are specificially asked if it is today's bake and told yes, but you take it home and it is obviously yesterdays bake when you cut it. It's very aggravating and annoying. I end up throwing the whole pie out. I'm sick of it. Why can't they tell the truth if something is day old then it's day old. LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW. I'm sick of this bakery lying about...

If you remember those fine Irish Dinners of back in the day while growing up over there, than this is the Place where it's at. While sitting down an having the feed and to enjoying the Sound's of the locals inside and all the accent's of those only brings back fond memories. I was told to be here on " Thursdays " for the Fine Dark Green Cabbage, The Beautiful Spuds & Delicious Veg's and the Pig's Arsh, yaaaa what more can you ask for. While sitting down having the feed it's so easy to strike up conversation with whoever you invite to sit with you making it more like a meal to remember in a fun great way.

They have a Fine Selection of Homemade Delicious Pastries, Scones, Irish breads, treacle bread, Lyons tea, Irish sweets & biscuits. The Staff is Funny & professionals.

I'll be making another 28 mile trip on Thursday...
