I waited the fourth attempt to give a proper review. Typically, I enjoy supporting my neighborhood restaurants and try to patronize them frequently. I’d been supporting Ashmont Grill since it first opened its doors and referring ppl since. Ta OLP is a Sister restaurant. The ambiance is quite different and less inviting then Ashmont and the food offerings—sparce. Yet, that is not enough to give it such low ratings. What earned Tavolo this rating is the bartender, Michaella . As I mentioned, this was my fourth attempt at Tavolo’s and each time Michaella refused to recognize my presence, let alone serve me if I sat in the extended section of the bar. Last night, I wanted a table to study and enjoy food and drinks in unison. There were no intimate tables available and the hostess suggested the bar section facing the street because—who wants to sit at the bar with books and study guides? I sat for 20 minutes and watched Michaella continuously serve those at the bar and never so much as eye contact with me. She plainly ignored me. I caught her, on several occasions, looking in my direction and pretending not to see me (once while she was boasting to a recent arrival that she’s also the head waitress at Ashmont Grill!—who hires this woman?). I then asked for a table (shaking my head in anger) and met Diana. She increased my experience at Tavolo’s by a 1,000% with her easy and caring personality. I left her a $36.00 tip because she deserved it and this is my absolute LAST time I’ll ever grace Tavolo’s with any parts of my rather large budget for restaurant visits. And, although I love Ashmont Grill—and have an appointment with a friend there today—by virtue of their affiliation to Tavolo’s, I don’t think I’ll continue to visit as frequently. It’s time to find another place to accept my...

An Unforgettable Experience at Tavolo!

We recently hosted a baby sprinkle at Tavolo with a group of 35+ guests, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a beautifully set space that made us feel right at home.

The food was absolutely divine — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Every dish had our guests raving! The drinks were on point, refreshing and well-balanced, perfectly complementing the atmosphere and celebration.

But what truly set the experience apart was the unmatched hospitality. Tara was amazing to work with from start to finish — attentive, communicative, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Sean and Branden went above and beyond during the event, catching even the tiniest details and handling them seamlessly. Their calm energy and attention made everything flow effortlessly.

The ambiance at Tavolo is the perfect mix of cozy and chic, making it ideal for intimate gatherings and celebrations. We left feeling celebrated, cared for, and already planning our next visit — whether it’s another event or just dinner with friends.

If you’re looking for a venue that offers top-tier service, outstanding food, and a welcoming vibe, Tavolo is the place. Thank you to the entire team for helping us create lasting memories with our village!

Heard good things about this place. Kinda disappointing on several fronts.

  1. Nickel and diming on the menu and drink choices…. Asked for Bourbon and Cointreau cocktail and got charged for Cointreau
  2. Waiter told us he was gonna bring us extra warm bread to dip into our apps….. oh and he charges us without even the slightest mention…. It’s not the small upcharge, but it’s the fact that he never told us…. It was just added to our bill.
  3. Wanted fresh pasta….. the freshly made Tagliatelle meal sounded great….. but what we got was neither fresh, nor was it tagliatelle…. It was literally egg noodles washed in sauce.

Because I was with a large group, I didn’t speak to the waiter. Everyone around us were eating pizzas….. that should have been a major clue….. I’ll give Tavolo a second try but will stick to the “Can’t screw up” pizza and cold beer options. Major corrections needed before anything more than 2 stars is deserved.

I don’t recommend this place at all. Spend your money...

I had ravioli child had pizza. I ordered for delivery. The price is totally not worth it. For a $23 dollar plate of spinach ravioli I was sent 4 raviolis. At least for a can chef boyardee of ravioli you get more than that. It was like they made up a meal. Whatever that sweet purple stuff and brown sauce was in it wasn’t it. Nasty!! I tried my child’s pizza since I trashed my plate. Wanted to try a new place to eat couldn’t use water at the house. Pizza had a weird twang taste, presentation of it was awful. I wouldn’t go here again.
