I’m truly disappointed with the experience my group and I had at this restaurant. What was meant to be a celebratory graduation dinner for eight turned into a frustrating evening. The service was extremely slow — our drinks took over an hour to arrive, and the food took even longer. To make matters worse, we were all charged a “delivery fee,” despite dining in at the restaurant. By the time I noticed, my card had already been charged. I brought it to the attention of one of the owners, and while they gave me a receipt indicating a refund had been issued, it has now been a full week and I have yet to see that refund reflected in my account. I made a point to support a Black-owned business, but unfortunately, this experience felt more like being taken advantage of than being appreciated as a customer. My entire group left disappointed, and what should have been a special evening was overshadowed by poor service and unresolved billing issues.

The Pearl is a true gem in the seafood dining scene. It’s an upscale restaurant that seamlessly blends ambiance, exceptional cuisine, and an inviting atmosphere. It’s hard to find a place that excels in all three, but The Pearl delivers on every level. A special shoutout to Adam the outstanding bar manager, who curated an incredible bar experience for me that made the evening truly unforgettable. I’ve been back multiple times ever since. And to Chris, whose professionalism and attentiveness elevated the experience. As a Boston Landing resident for over three years, I couldn’t be happier to have The Pearl in the neighborhood. This restaurant is more than just a meal, it’s an experience not to be missed. Don’t pass up the chance to taste greatness. Top 2, and not number 2.

This restaurant is OUTSTANDING! Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in Boston in a while. First off, service was great. Every person was so nice and checked in often. We started with two of the house cocktails which were both beautiful and tasted great. We shared a lobster bisque which came with unreal croutons and had tons of lobster pieces in it, and was the perfect size to share for an app for two. I had the spaghettini for my entree & my BF got the seafood rice. Both had amazing flavor and were unlike anything I’ve tried. Such a unique twist on your classic seafood restaurants. I can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu! And to top it all off I got this cute birthday card & a scoop of lemon sorbet which was so thoughtful!

I wish I could give this place a higher rating, as the food and drinks were pretty good. We got the baked oysters and shrimp tempura as well as two rounds of drinks. All of which we thoroughly enjoyed but unfortunately the service was unforgivable.

We waited over 30 minutes for each round of drinks. We would have loved to order entrees but at what point do you cut your losses? Nobody even came by to take our dinner order, we had to flag down somebody else to even order our second round of drinks. Thirty minutes later my partner had to stand up beside the table to get anybody's attention. Thankfully the manager came over to resolve the issue. He promises to comp this round and gets us our drinks inside of two minutes (which really isn't reassuring because two of the drinks were cocktails, they were obviously just sitting on the bar waiting on delivery for God knows how long).

But we were optimistic that they would make it right. Not so. At this point, the server promised a round would be comped after delivery of the first round. Then the manager promised we would be comped after we begged for the second round. The bill finally comes, and oh what do you know - every penny is accounted for.

Despite the fact that two hours had already passed and I'd already resigned myself to eating leftovers at home, I would have left somewhat content knowing they tried to make things right. I've lived in the area for ten years - I can tell you with authority that this is the most expensive place in Brighton and I have never gotten service this bad. Go literally anywhere else.

And just to clarify - it was pretty busy when we got there but half the tables were empty by time we ordered the second round. So I was a little salty when the manager explained that "everybody just cleared out". I have eyes and I've...

Where do I start? I’m all about supporting black business and not bashing them but I feel I would be doing other potential guest and owners a disservice if I’m not honest. We won’t just a group of 3 after the hbcu game I was expecting it to be more packed and ready for the vibes. It wasn’t. Service was extremely slow. We ordered chicken wings and took them almost 30minutes to tell us they ran out of chicken. We settled for other appetizers that took way too long to come out. Finally asked for a manager the manager in that night Chris came over seemingly already frustrated and was very condescending in his tone and refused to do anything about the slow service and long wait. Fine! The two waitresses Kendal and Patricia I believe were the names were super apologetic all night. As we were waiting for our final meal we heard two other guest at two different tables complain that they had been waiting over an hour for their food. One the food came out but missed two guest from the table. The other one food never came. We hoped for a better outcome but nope our food after an hour never came we finally asked them to just cancel it and had to leave and go find find elsewhere. Mind you the menu online is no longer so we went for steak and get there and there is no steak on the menu. Smh I wish them the best I may try them again but this is actually the 2nd time I have gone and they ran out of chicken and both locations are right in a section where a grocery store...
