I've been a resident at Lantera for a couple years now and would like to state that my experience here has been positive overall. The front desk and maintenance team have always been amazing and nothing short of respectful and helpful. The amenities like the gym and pool are satisfactory.
However, the reason for my one-star review is because of the lack of urgency and serious carelessness from the management team, especially when it comes to addressing the filthy indoor parking garage.
As a resident, I have observed a persistently neglected state of cleanliness within the garage, which has not been adequately addressed despite multiple prior communications with the apartment manager and leasing office.
The current condition of the indoor parking garage is highly unsatisfactory. One of the main issues is the significant accumulation of bird droppings, which not only deface vehicles but also pose potential health and safety risks. Moreover, the presence of numerous dead birds scattered throughout the garage further exacerbates the unhygienic environment and creates a distressing atmosphere for residents.
This is not a new issue and has been ongoing since I moved into the apartment complex in the summer of 2021. Despite previous reports and assurances, the problem remains unresolved, causing ongoing inconvenience and dissatisfaction for residents.
I understand that the garage is a semi-enclosed space and that it can't be kept in pristine condition at all times, but the lack of any sort of maintenance routine to keep the garage a safe and hygienic environment is intolerable. For paying nearly $500 per month for parking, I'd expect a cleaner environment.
Photos are attached but I've purposely left out the pictures of all the dead birds, of which there are many.
My intention was never to write a public and poor review, however, I'm left with no other option since the management team has not addressed this concern after speaking with them multiple times in-person.
Update: The team has implemented annual garage cleanings in order to promote a safe and clean environment for the residents and their...

management and maintenance are rude, slow to respond and defensive about major repairs that need to be made to individual apartments due to flooding... yes, the flooding wasn't management's fault, but they're uncommunicative and uncooperative with tenants and then act like they're going above and beyond when they eventually get around to dealing with you... the flooding occurred in early April 2022, apartment repairs were made by end of May 2022 (last day) after insisting that we needed repairs finalized in order to utilize the space that we're paying a lot of money for

they gave us our renewal offer less than 60 days before the end of the lease, then gave us less than 2 weeks to decide whether to stay or go... that's not enough time to 1) look for a new apartment 2) find something that works for the commutes of 2 people 3) sign and get approval for a new lease and 4) arrange movers etc.... just really inconsiderate, lazy and irresponsible behavior on...
Read moreDo not move on the building side facing the New Balance constructions -- you'll pay ~3K to hear drills and construction noise starting before 6.30am including Saturdays (every single Saturday) ... even if you are above the constructions, the noise is too loud to sleep through it. After the works will be done, there will be a concert hall open till 2am 7/7 in front of your window- including outside balconies which will be even be louder. Every building in Boston Landing - Lantera and all the buildings around- are owned by the same person - the owner of New Balance, so complaining isn't worth much.
Moreover, while the 29th May all restrictions have been removed in MA (including the state of emergency few weeks later), and CDC guidelines currently suggest that vaccinated people can resume to living life as before, here at Lantera they keep restrictions to the maximum. You are not allowed to have guests in any amenity, and in a building of 170 people only 10 can be on the pool deck at the same time. Why? Most likely because it is much cheaper in terms of paying for pool maintenance / surveillance, etc...- there is no science or state rules backing this up anymore. They try to blame Greystar management for these rules but I know for a fact that people living in other Greystar-managed buildings (including California, far more restrictive state during prior Covid times) are not subjected to this sort of...
