This is a VERY interesting and different park from the others I've seen in the area. It does have the classic park amenities (lots of them actually, including basketball court, tennis courts, baseball field, and playground), but what intrigued me most was the "Urban Wild" area. This part does an amazing job of making you feel removed from the city and in the woods, if only for a moment. It is a bit littered and graffitied though, which oddly adds to the urban vibe.

Ringer offers a side of nature to Allston - an awesome hilly park with a short wooded path out back, some rocks to sit on, playground, and basketball/tennis courts. It's a great place to hang out on a nice day. Sadly there's a lot of trash and broken glass everywhere especially on the hill.. come on people, if you're going to get wasted in the park at least bring a bag for your trash..

I accidentally stumbled upon this park one day, its pretty cool. There is a playground and basketball court, but it also has some cool hilly trails with large rocks everywhere. The only problem with this place is that it is covered in trash. It looks like a party spot for teenagers. Overall I really enjoyed setting up my hammockand readinga book there.

One of the most sketchy parks I know of in the Boston area. I and many people I know have been followed & had many other creepy things happen to them in ringer. Be wary of the uphill area with all the trees and shrubs (good spot for people to hide from police). Seems perfectly nice in the daytime, but I know of a someone who had a guy expose himself to them in broad daylight. Unless you feel confident you can defend yourself, definitely do not go there or even walk through after dark. If you go with a group and generally stay away from the aforementioned hill, you can still definitely...

I grew up in the mid 80s and 90s and this playground was always the safest back in my day but now you have middle school and high school kids acting as if they own the property... they are so rude and disrespectful to adults/parents and to little children.. they use all sorts of profanity and refusing little children from using the slides and swings... I feel like there should be a park ranger on or near the premises to behaviours like that can...
