Good place to enjoy a quality meal in a calm hotel lounge vibe. I’ve been coming here for brunch and dinner with my friends for some time, and we’ve always had satisfying experiences. Service is uniformly polished, and the calming shades of wood and brick decors evoke a hotel lounge comfort. The food, however, requires a bit more attention. We always started off our brunch with a basket of their signature mini donuts. While they looked dazzling, they were too dense and dry. I still liked the ones with dried strawberries and fruits cereal toppings, but other donuts were mediocre at best. On the other hand, the poke nachos and the wings were superb. Spicy aioli and wasabi mayo gave the nachos a lick of heat, and the wings were simple but delicious. From the brunch entrées, there wasn’t anything that stood out. Southwest avocado toast and smoked ham Benedict were decent, but the diner quality pancakes were a bit letdown. Their dinner entrées have more sophisticated flavors, and my favorite is their burger. Signature pizzas with innovative toppings are also worth trying, but they need some improvement on the crust job.

Went to Tradesman for brunch for the first time today and…. WOW!! The service was phenomenal, the ambiance and decor were incredible, and the food was magnificent! Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly, even though we arrived 15 mins early for our reservation. For food, my husband and I had the mini donuts (6 total), poke nachos, popcorn chicken, smoked bacon Benedict, a piece of fried chicken, and egg whites with vegetables (comes in pie-like piece). For drinks we each had a latte and espresso martini. The latte was hands down the BEST LATTE I’VE EVER HAD! Any coffee that I have from now on will be disappointing compared to what I had at Tradesman. And the espresso Martini was out of this world! Small details, such as the decor, food presentation, and the cocktails menu were some of the many things that made Tradesman stand out to us! I can say that this will be one of my favorite go to restaurants moving forward. I’ve already booked reservations to go again with a close friend! I would definitely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing food and service.

Came here to grab some food while working remotely and had a decent experience. The space is split between the cafe section and the sit-down service section, which wasn't immediately obvious to us. We approached the counter asking if we could order pizza and was directed to one of the employees in the restaurant section who seated us at the bar, which had outlets for our laptops. We ended up getting the Fish & Chips and a chicken sandwich to split. The texture of the fish wasn't the best - I thought it was too soft and not crispy enough. The fries were pretty good though. I ordered an iced chai after we ate, but it must've gotten lost along the way because the same waitress came back to check in on us and I had to remind her that I had ordered a drink. She was pretty apologetic about it, and the chai tasted good. Overall, I would only come back if I'm in the area for the drinks but not for food.

I’ve now been here twice for brunch in the last few months. My friends and I absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is upbeat and modern, the staff are friendly and attentive despite the hustle and bustle at peak hours, and the food is delicious. What impressed me most is the variety of sweet, savory, spicy, traditional, and not-so-traditional items on the menu, and how good each one of them tasted. Most restaurants would benefit from focusing in one specialty of cuisine, but Tradesman on Hood Park Drive is refreshingly good at many different kinds at once! My favorites so far are the Stuffed French Toast, Huevos Rancheros, and one of their newest menu items, the Chef’s Shakshouka.

Furthermore, they impressed me and my friends with their attention to safety with guests’ food allergies or restrictions (especially including my severe shellfish allergy). In fact, my friend’s wife was very happy with how many items she could choose from for her vegetarian restrictions.

I plan on making this restaurant a regular stop any time I’m in the...
