I’ve done takeout from Moe’s quite a few times and I’d say they have a roughly 50% error rate — pretty abysmal and yet I continue to order because it’s just so convenient, and the food is generally good even when they get it wrong. What prompted me to write a 1-star review is an epic screw up that I gave them a chance to make right and they didn’t! For my bacon EGG and cheese bagel sandwich, the forgot the EGG! Yes, that’s right. The egg just wasn’t there. For the same order, they also made the dirty chai I ordered iced hot. I admittedly could’ve asked them to remake it iced while I was still in the store but there was a long line and my dogs were sitting in the car, and it was hot out, so I just dealt with it rather than waiting.
I emailed management about this totally botched order and they didn’t bother responding. Had they done the right thing and issued a credit this review would’ve been very different. But they decided I should be stuck with a totally wrong order.
So well done, Moe’s, in ignoring that email you’ve lost a customer and you’ve earned a...
Read moreBeen going to Moe's for 20+ years, usually different locations. It's reliably tasty. Today at the SoBo location I was particularly impressed. Right as I walked in they got slammed with a long line, and extra workers were quick to appear and start new orders to keep things moving. The woman who took my 4-sandwich order all at once (all different bagels and toppings) busted them out quickly and to perfection. Plenty of cream cheese and toppings; even the bagels had an abundance of baked-in toppings all over. This is my new favorite Moe's :) When I went to tip I saw the sign that says they pay workers a higher wage in lieu of accepting tips. I appreciate that they take care of their employees and hope it benefits them as intended.
I also noticed on the menu that you can get their "sandwich" options over latkes (instead of a bagel) which I'm eager to try...
Read moreIt's gotten a little pricey for a bagel. Use to like going there (though even $6+ for a bagel sandwich seemed a little much), but just can't stomach an $8+ bagel sandwich. Know it's Boulder and people will pay just about anything for anything. Just a little bummed as I use to stop in, but just not worth it to me anymore. Maybe if they'd added some value I'd consider it again. I mean it's not like it's THAT amazing or anything. I know a place with a $4 breakfast burrito that is WAY better. Heck even Illegal Pete's breakfast burritos are way better for less. Sorry, just seems to be getting out of control. If you "need" to raise prices, at least trade it off with a...
