I have been coming here for 5 years and most times something goes wrong. They either make my drink wrong (I always order white chocolate in my drink as I do not like the other at all. To me it is gritty feeling so I always ask for white). Of course I end up with regular chocolate about half the time. Then this store always is rude when I tell them it is wrong. They always say no you must of asked for it wrong. Seriously? They will do anything to get out of making it again. They have a high turnover here I think as several times I get someone new who has been left there alone who has to look in the receipe book before making it. That just happened again last week. He had no idea what he was doing he ended up with a line and then he totally forgot mine on top of it. After I saw the 3rd drink go out from him that were all behind me after I paid I asked him about it and then he realized he forgot it. I was very nice to him but they should not have left someone who had no clue on their own till trained properly. That was the stores fault not his. I have also been rudely told that they don't do specials when I get a notice in my app like when they are doing like a free one usually between 2 and 5 pm for a few days. I know it's up to the store and they are in a Safeway but they don't have to be rude about it. They other thing I don't understand is why the Iris one frequently charges me 1.75 more for the exact same drink. They haven't done that recently as I had kept contacting Starbucks headquarters over it every time. They said there was no way that should happen.
I also frequent the other Safeway on Arapahoe here and I would give them 5 stars. They are great there and I think only once did they make mine with the dark chocolate and were very nice about remaking it.
I cannot account for the differences in the stores. Maybe it's in whomever is training them. But this one in the Safeway on Iris is not the worse here in Boulder. The Target store here gets that prize from me. I think I have had them remake almost every drink I order and there have been times when they refused to make me another saying I ordered it wrong. For the last 7 years I have always ordered the same drink every time with no variation so I'm pretty sure my brain has it...

The employees work their butts off and the manager Tori is no where to be found and every time I come in to get coffee she is leaving an employee to take on 10 customers at a time by themselves. She is also verbally abusive to the employees and wouldn't be surprised if she was to the customers as well. I overhead a conversation between the manager Tori and an employee about taking a lunch break and she declined the employee her right to have a few minutines to sit down and eat before having to take on a line of customers alone. I will never come to this startbucks again because I believe in kindness, respect, and integrity, and this manager shows none of those attributes to her employees. Girl said “sorry, we’re pretty much closed.” NOT IMPRESSED!!! Wanted to ask her if her hours are “pretty much” open until 8 or not??? Wanted to tell her she’s “pretty much” lost a customer for life!
