The online ordering process is extremely misleading. On the website it clearly gives the option to order online for delivery AND pick-up. However, when my husband and I placed an over $100 order online, we were told to pay AGAIN once we arrived to the restaurant to pick up our order!!! The Attendant was extremely rude and told me he doesn't have anything to do with that online payment because it's a third party. But as I tried to explain to him that the restaurant's website gives the option to order online, but does not state online payment isn't accepted for pick ups. Once you click to order online, you choose your food items, then it asks for your payment information, and gives you a payment/order confirmation. The Attendant was rude and did not care that my credit card was already charged. He kept yelling at me because the online app is a 3rd party that we've paid, not East Moon. But my point to him is they need to fix that on their website. Their website has no disclaimer explaining the online ordering process. It's misleading because it just has you select food items, enter payment info, and gives a confirmation for pick up.
WARNING to all: DO NOT use the online ordering option on East Moon's website. You will be charged online, and then asked to pay for your order again once you arrive to pick up your order!!!!! They are also very rude and unapologetic for the misleading online process. My family and I were regular customers of East Moon because we enjoy their food. But they will no longer receive service from any of us again. I have also warned neighbors and friends not to dine nor order...
Read moreThis was my first visit and it will be my last. The person that greeted me he was great and then another person came up to help finish the order was also nice. The food that we ate out of the order of shrimp spring roll, fried chicken, lo mein, sesame chicken, and fried rice was absolutely terrible. At that point we ate some of the appetizers and one entree which was the sesame chicken.
The sesame chicken was tasteless and weirdly springy. The shrimp spring roll was overly greasy and also tasteless. We ordered two but we only ate one. The spring roll or the regular egg roll that came with the meal looked and tasted like it had been sitting around all day and was refired. We haven't tried the fried rice or the lo mein because the sesame chicken along with the apps we did eat was terrible.
I was so disappointed. The restaurant looks very nice and inviting and they were advertising an all-you-can-eat sushi bar for $24.99 or something like that. I was hoping that the food I got was going to be good so I can come back and try that because I haven't had any good sushi since I moved here.
We spent $68 on terrible food most of which was not eaten. The other entrees are sitting in the refrigerator right now along with the other shrimp spring roll. We won't be coming back again and there will be no recommendations for this place.
Food costs are significantly higher now and going out to eat remains a treat so when it is as disastrous as this is a disappointment to...
Read moreWe frequented this location many times a week for years when we lived close. We continued to go out of our way when in the area to visit since given how many years of great meals and service we received. Today's visit will be our last. The food tasted OK, not great. The cost has skyrocketed and the portions are now miniscule. We ordered two 3-piece Sashimi and received only two pieces each. Of that, each was only one normal size from any other East Moon location cut in half. The bill with tip was just short of $100 for three TINY rolls, two shorted orders of Sashimi, and two appetizers. This location needs Joyce from the Glen Burnie store to reboot the location. All the faces have changed as of the last time we've been and the entire experience has changed for the worse. The East Moon location in Glen Burnie is fantastic in all aspects and Joyce is extremely engaged with her customers. She goes out of her way to greet us every time, even when the kitchen is extremely busy with both in-store and carryout orders. The sushi was served on dismal pieces of stone when we used to receive extremely high quality, iced arrangements with colored lights, dry ice fog and sometimes even extremely elaborate carvings of vegetables! What did you do to this place!? What a sad visit to one of our all time favorite restaurants. The tell for us should have been that the restaurant was completely empty when it used to be full of business people eating lunch on any given...
