Years ago when this place first open, I provided an honest review of this place. They were first opening, but my wife and I were ignored multiple times, served bad chips... it was just a bad-time all around. Especially in a small community like Bowling Green, this isn't always popular, but this restaurant has CONSISTENTLY been an awesome place to eat ever since those early days. Any time my wife and I go, we get "way too much" and gladly tip well because... they're worth it. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and they make you feel happy to support them.

My wife consistently gets the pollo Jalisco which has always been pretty consistently made. I will jump around the menu a bit more, but I'm always impressed when everything feels like it was kept warm "the correct way" (meaning not dried out or inconsistently warm throughout the dish) and all main dishes were made fresh.

What I have come to like the most about this place is it's consistency. In a small town, with limited options, you want to know that when you get food that it will be about what you expect; you can't just "go to the other Mexican place" because the closest one is a 30 minutes round-trip. I won't pretend that everything has always been perfect, but it's ALMOST always been perfect. Since those early days, I don't think we've ever walked away saying "I regret eating that".

As for the owner, he's an incredibly engaging and welcoming person. He always makes you feel like he knows you and is happy to see you again. It almost catches you off-guard when he has to keep moving to supervise his business because his personal demeanor makes you think he's about to sit down and visit. The few times I've been in with my kids he's engaging to the kids which scores a lot of points in my book.

I love the place and I'm happy they have stuck around for so long. I'm hoping they are around for many, many, MANY...

Wife and I are native to Houston, TX and love LOVE LoVe our Mexican food. It isn’t so much the food , which I will get into in a sec, that was the highlight of our experience but rather the WELCOME TO BOWLING GREEN, VIRGINIA marinaded within.

Consistency: We've eaten here countless times, and the quality has never dipped. It's comforting to know you can expect the same great taste and service every visit.

Family-Friendly: They are great with kids! The menu has options that even our little ones enjoy, which makes our weekly family dinners hassle-free.
