WK El Maz Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Bowling Green

We ordered the cheese dip, as we always order cheese dip when we go to Mexican restaurants. It was the worst we have had. All it was was melted cheese, no chilis, no seasoning, etc. We ended up pouring some of our salsa into it to give it some flavor. My husband ordered one of their specialities - a platter with all sorts of meats, but most of the meat was dry. The meal only came with three flour tortillas, not nearly enough for all the food that was served. Guac was mentioned as an included item on this platter, but less than a tablespoon was given. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and a beef taco supreme, minus sour cream. Of course the taco came out with sour cream. Even worse than that is that the beef had no flavor. It was ground beef with no seasoning. It was the most bland taco I have ever had. Thankful that I ordered a side of pico…the pico made the taco edible. We were very disappointed with the food. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where I have said that we will not be back…until now. Yesterday was mine & my husband's first time visiting here. We just moved out daughter to WKU and wanted to try it out. The place was a whole vibe and I enjoyed the decor and music. I ordered a lemon water and chicken chimichanga, my husband ordered a burrito real. The young girl was soft spoken and hard to hear at times, but overall friendly. Needed something quick as I was finishing up a stay at the hotel next door. Stopped in for lunch and opted for the steak burritos. Salsa was pretty typical, same with the beans, guac, and salad. One thing I was really impressed with was the steak though. Not only was it really tender, it was well seasoned, which a lot of restaurants tend to overcook or under season.
