I’ve never eaten Hatian or Carribean food until now, but it seems Margo’s was a great place to start. We came for a late dinner on Thursday, and everything we tried was delicious, which included a calamari appetizer, fried goat, vegetable stew (contains some meat), spicy coleslaw (picklee), fried plantains, an ample serving of “diri ak pwa” (haitian style rice/bean side), and a green salad. Everything was so good, but we really fell in love with the picklee and fried goat. So much so, that we return the following week for a repeat. They must have been out of calamari, so the substituted with some tasty fried scallops. Margo’s also has a full bar with cocktails, wine and beer. And around 9pm, the place turns into a nightclub (at least on Thu), and they feature entertainment by local jazz guitarist Wilson Pierre and his friends. I’m not sure of the details of Wilson’s musical background but he is definitely talented and well versed in jazz and classical guitar. He performed many jazz standards, some incredibly fast riffs by Al Demiola, and a even a few Carribean jazz adaptations like the Ritenour/Grusin version of Bob Marley’s, “Get Up, Stand Up”. If you love good food and smooth jazz, you need to visit Margo’s this Thursday for a real treat. Well definetly be there. P.S. I saw a couple of reviews that attempted to trash this place. I assure you they are FAKE users. It’s someone trying to hurt this establishment for their own selfish reasons. Check and you will see they have NO other reviews. Another post claimed they got food poisoning here. No way! Margo’s is super clean, plus go to the Mayo Clinic site and you’ll see that many people assume their last meal is why they fell ill, yet food sicknesses incubates over 1 to 3 days before one feels ill. Most people that blame restaraunts for their symptoms actuall poisoned themselves in their own home. Just saying.

I found this lovely restaurant via Google. I was a little apprehensive about going because, as a fellow Haitian, our restaurants can be a little much. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a young lady who showed me to a table and given a menu. We chatted a little about my first time being here and how nice the restaurant looked. I gave my order, and the turnaround was awesome. I ordered the fried turkey with rice and red beans. My food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. As I was eating, the owner of the restaurant came out and chatted with me. The customer service was A1. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a real deal Haitian restaurant. Thank you for the experience. I'll be back again.

I like when I walk into a restaurant and they’re playing some good music, ok this is my vibe loll. So, I started off with the calamari for appetizers, it’s one of my favorite appetizers and they didn’t disappoint. For dinner, I had the griot with plantains, let me tell you sooooo delicious, fresh, perfectly made, and full of flavor. My plantains was nice and crispy just the way I like it. I also had this rum punch cocktail that I couldn’t stop sipping on and it was strong just the way I like it. Listen, don’t take my words for it, go try it out yourself and you’ll be happy you did. Btw, It’s a new restaurant and the owner is named Linda and she was a great host

On Thursday evening, June 5, 2025, I had the pleasure of dining at Margo’s Kitchen Restaurant alongside my wife, two of my sisters, and one of my brothers-in-law. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and the exceptional level of hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The staff were attentive and courteous, making sure every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of. It was clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority at Margo’s Kitchen.

The food was absolutely outstanding—authentic Haitian cuisine prepared with care and rich in flavor. Each dish we ordered was well-seasoned, beautifully presented, and left us thoroughly satisfied. To enhance the dining experience even further, Thursday night happened to be Jazz Night, featuring the smooth and soulful sounds of Wilson Pierre and his talented ensemble. Their live performance created a vibrant, joyful atmosphere that made the evening feel extra special.

What stood out most was the genuine involvement of the restaurant owners. They were not only present but actively engaged—personally helping serve dishes, checking on guests, and ensuring everyone was enjoying themselves. Their pride and passion for both the food and the culture were evident in every detail.

I am incredibly proud to support and recommend this gem of a Haitian restaurant. Margo’s Kitchen is more than just a place to eat—it’s a cultural experience filled with warmth, flavor, and community. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit and see for themselves what makes this...

Walked in for a takeout order and immediately got a negative vibe from an older woman. There had already been confusion about the order, so we politely asked to confirm what was in the box before paying — a completely reasonable and common request with takeout. Actually places willingly show you what’s in there before paying during take out so customer confirms this is what they ordered.

Instead of being professional she snapped, “We don’t do that here,” and continued to make us uncomfortable throughout the interaction, constantly returning to us when she heard us talking to each other. We tried to brush it off, but the tension was obvious. We paid just to avoid further conflict and noticed she was training someone. We didn’t eat the food and looking at other reviews I’m glad we didn’t .

Thankfully, there are plenty of other establishments with great customer service. We consider still paying for that meal a form of charity — maybe it can go toward addressing her easily triggered attitude. We hope she doesn’t spread that to new workers. In the hospitality industry, ego should be left at the door, especially over a reasonable, innocent request— for take out??

Judging by other reviews from dissatisfied customers—this behavior or bad service isn’t new. I won’t expect understanding or accountability within her response. It doesn’t matter how good or bad food is , customer service is major. Not every...
