I really wanted to love this spot. Tucked away from downtown Bozeman, the café has that kind of off-the-beaten-path vibe that hints at a hidden gem. The space itself is undeniably cool—eclectic decor, cozy seating, and the kind of aesthetic that feels like it could belong in Portland or some other artsy, hip enclave.
But unfortunately, the experience just didn’t match the atmosphere.
I ordered the enchiladas ($18), and they were underwhelming in every way—very small portion, lackluster flavor, and a surprisingly long wait (about 40 minutes). For that price point, I expected something either more substantial or more memorable. It was neither.
I also asked the barista if they had cold brew on nitro and was told, “That’s just a Starbucks thing,” which is simply not true—many specialty coffee shops offer nitro. It left me feeling like the staff either didn’t know their product well or weren’t interested in the conversation.
The space is small and, unfortunately, not accessible for folks with limited mobility, which is something I think places like this really need to be mindful of. And while I want to be gracious—everyone seemed nice and maybe it was just an off day—the overall vibe felt a bit chaotic. Cashier and barista interactions were a little confused, and there didn’t seem to be a clear rhythm or flow to how things were working.
I’ve been here a couple of times now, hoping to catch it on a better day, but the experience has been consistent. Charming and unique environment, yes. But not quite enough to make up for the long waits, high prices, and the sense of disorganization. I’d love to see this place meet its potential it clearly has, but right now, it’s not quite delivering on...
Read morefun lil spot. excellent lil view of the bridger range. tasty coffee. i scarfed my kolache down with pleasure way faster than i should’ve, but i just couldn’t bring myself to think about when it would end. that part sucked. :)
everybody was super friendly. GREAT atmosphere.
the motif is a hat. the hat itself is a playful take on the trucker hat, by forgoing the trendy opaque, structured front panels. the hat itself has a motif on it. a logo: Roly-Poly coffee the logo is not the logo necessarily. but rather the hat itself, with the logo on it. they’ve gone so far as to print t-shirts with the hat, with the logo on it.
SiLLY, and it doesn’t work if the spot ain’t cool, and coffee and snacks aren’t yummy. i’m happy to say it works really, really...
Read moreNormally I start my day with a fresh cup of stale hotdog water that’s been sitting on the stove from last nights dinner (don’t knock it till ya try it). But today I found myself drifting through the town of Bozeman when the sun rose and cast a ray directly onto howdy partner coffee.
I thought the pot of gold was supposed to be at the end of a rainbow guarded by a leprechaun, but this pot of gold my friends, was sitting in the back of a vintage Ford bronco, and handed out kindly, at a fair price by what can be best described as a Waylon Jennings Willie Nelson mashup character (shout out Taylor).
This coffee shop is what I would call a dream come true. That being said, combined with the jolt of coffee, I won’t need to sleep...
