The food is very delicious, unfortunately I have not been able to enjoy any of it for the last two months or so because I have been unable to order carry out any time I try. The last 5 times I have tried to order from Pakeezah, they do not answer their phone, are too busy to take the order, or just can't fill the order. For the last three days my boyfriend and I have been craving good Indian food, we understand that the business was closed the last two days so we were very excited this evening. We tried calling to place an order, no answer after five tries, so we went in to order in person. We arrived, placed the order, and paid. We waited the fifty minutes we were told only to be told that our food could not be made because the fridge was not working so they did not have the ingredients for anything we had ordered. We got our money back, but it amazes me that when we ordered everything was fine and available, but an hour later none of what we asked for was available. I wish this had not been the experience tonight. I understand that businesses are short staffed, I work in restaurants myself, but this has been a consistent enough pattern that I don't think I will try ordering from Pakeezah if I want take out. So with the pandemic flaring back up, I don't think I will be able to support the business for quite sometime. I love the food and would love to enjoy it, but the lack of consistency and resulting frustration is...

I recently dined at Pakeezah Authentic Indian Cuisine in Bozeman, MT, and had a mixed experience. Here's my take:
Food Highlights:
Yellow Dal: This dish was a standout, with rich and authentic flavors that I'd highly recommend. Saag Paneer and Baigan Bharta: These dishes were okay, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. Perhaps they weren't prepared to my taste, but still enjoyable.
Service:
The service was good, but a bit slow. Our server was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed at times, taking a while to attend to our needs.
Ambiance:
The restaurant has a rich ambiance with a romantic atmosphere, making it a great spot for a night out.
Prices:
Unfortunately, the prices were quite expensive, which might be a deterrent for some. While the quality of food was good, the cost was noticeable ¹.
Overall Experience:
Despite some drawbacks, I'd still recommend Pakeezah for its authentic Indian flavors and pleasant atmosphere. If you're craving Indian food in Bozeman and budget isn't a concern, give it a try.
Rating: 4/5 stars
Tips:
Try their yellow dal, it's a winner! Be prepared for slower service, especially if your server seems busy. Consider checking for gratuity charges, as some reviewers mentioned they weren't explicitly mentioned...
Read moreFood was great, we never really had Indian before. However service was terrible. Waiter would come by every 20-30 minutes, forget dishes, to-go boxes, and else. That was fine, kinda busy night, we get it. What ruined it for us was the waiter taking our card with the check book, running dishes back to the dish pit, and not coming back for ~ 10-15 minutes. We went to stand by the register and the waiter told us to have a good night, seemingly unaware he never gave us back our card.
Upon being told that he never gave us back our card, he immediately went into "are you sure I didn't give it back to you...did you ever give me back the checkbook...someone else must have grabbed it and processed it for you..." Nope. It was sitting OUTSIDE the checkbook on the counter covered up by the receipt. My husband was the one who spotted it after the guy looked at the same two checkbooks about 5 times. We then learned that the waiter neglected to have his own name on it, that's why he "couldn't find it." We truly have no idea which one the tattooed lanky ginger is, but that's who served us and seemly had no idea how to wait and serve people.
Again, outside of him the food and place was good. Just don't lose people's cards and it'll be a...
