I was appalled by the bad service I received today at Corwin’s ice cream shop on the Riverwalk. After waiting for 30 minutes and even people leaving in front of us I proceeded to look through the door at what was taking so long. The girl behind the counter was talking to ONE girl for a really long time while the girl ate her ice cream. The door was locked so I knocked on the door and they ignored me. I continued to wait and talk to the people that were also waiting and we were all ready to leave so I decided to go and knock on the window. They continued to ignore me and continued to talk. After waiting for another 15 minutes because my boyfriend really wanted strawberry ice cream the girl from behind the counter came over and said the next people could come in. I asked her what was taking so long and she said the other women and I were talking as if I was rude for wanting service and ice cream. She said the women was asking about a job. I don’t care what she was asking or talking about, she could have given her a card and asked her to call her at a less busy time to discuss a job or call the owner to discuss employment. The sign on the door said one party at a time however if that is for Covid the restrictions have been removed from the government so not sure what that is all about. After locking the door yet again I watched as the girl behind the counter talked with the two girls that went in the shop and they were trying every flavor with the little spoons laughing that they were purposely taking an extremely long time. Again, I wouldn’t have gone through this b.s. but my boyfriend wanted ice cream. The girl behind the counter was extremely rude and she should be looking for another job instead of holding up the line to talk to a girl about employment while she eats her ice cream if that was what was even being discussed. If it wasn’t for my boyfriend I would have left and I will tell everyone about the bad service I received at your establishment. I deal with the public and I would never treat my clients the way I was treated today...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars I would! What a joke! We (party of 4) showed up at 8:45 and waited outside because the building is tiny and didn't want to crowd the building only after opening the door and saying "we'll wait out here". The young girl was working with a group already and looked like they had a large order. At 8:53 she motioned to a customer to flip the open sign to closed (not even an employee) and as she smiled from behind the counter walking to the front she knocked on the window from the inside and turned off the OPEN sign. There was another group of 3 behind us so 7 people were shut out when she knew we were here. I get it, 9pm is closing so at 9 if you can't get service thats one thing but she didn't even wait until 9pm. The worst part is when the people inside needed to leave she had them exit through a side door so she wouldn't have to face the people she shut out so early. What an...
Read moreProbably will never go here again. I was with my stepson after a long walk at the river walk. So we decided to stop by and try the place out for the first time. We were greeted by a “sweet girl”- I didn’t get her name. As we were ordering two smoothies, he wanted the strawberry smoothie and I wanted the peanut butter one. She said they would not come with the bananas included (as it stated on the ingredient list on the board) because she only had 3 bananas left and she was saving them for 3 banana splits. We ordered them anyway as we did not want ice cream. The smoothies tasted like strawberry and peanut powdered water! And we still had to pay $6 for each smoothie! To say the least, we were very disappointed for being first...
