Donāt waste your gas, time or money to support this business. There is nothing TRULY compassionate nor AUTHENTICALLY ethical about there place besides the food which you can make at home.
Drove 90 minutes to support this local family owned vegan restaurant. I called beforehand since their website and google maps have different closing times. They told us to come they will still be open. We arrive and we were greeted by a man sitting on the front bench with his wife and child which very well could be the owners by the looks of it. The Wife, very bitter looking face stood there in silence with her head down. As we walked passed her, she looked up. If we didnāt drive 90 minutes I would have just walked out right then and there. The restaurant was empty and we were the only customers. Moving along, we meet our waiter which was HOSPITABLE and friendly that helped ease the awkwardness and discomfort. We chose a far away corner from the uncomfortable gaze of the woman/owner as they remained seated at the front bench for quite sometime. Finally, they get up as we finish our appetizers. The waiter was inputting our order into the computer when the wife/owner approaches him āwhispering in spanish which we speak fluently āshe asked the waiter in her indiscreet whisper, are they from here? Where are they from and said a couple of things practically into the ear of the waiter. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. After she finishes her inappropriate conversation, she walks straight into the kitchen barely holding it in bursts out in laughter. Did I mention we were the only customers there and that we chose a far away corner opposite from the bench (which is at the entrance of the restaurant)? While whispering into the waiter ears by the computer and kitchen we must have been less than 5FT and she was staring right at us.
No one goes to restaurants to be started at, ridiculed or nonetheless spoken of. If she was curious about where we were from as the owner of her new VEGAN restaurant she should have taken the time to introduce herself, welcome us and ask us where we drove from just as the waiter did.
Above all the food was mediocre, her nasty attitude is far more memorable...

When placing an order and being given a pick up time, automatically add about another 1-1.5hr to the wait to avoid any conflict. I have personally never complained about the wait time, but sometimes it does feel like they intentionally move slower when things get busy rather than pick up the pace.
The food is amazing; The owner is insufferable and I mean this with a genuine heart. I have witnessed on behalf of other customers that show up and walk out empty handed because of how he handles certain social interactions. I just wish he would be more welcoming and more willing to educate the patrons on how to order and what to expect. Nobody is perfect, but he definitely has lots of room for improvement in that area.
Take the food, and go somewhere else; The seating arrangements have changed a number of times. Iāve come to realize the owner does not like having too many people around. When seating IS available it is scarce, so when I go I plan ahead and take it to go. There are a number of surrounding places to take a seat outdoors and enjoy.
I hope to update this review in the coming months for something more positive because this restaurant is one of my personal favorites. I would love to see a more welcoming take on this...

After ordering online, I went to go pick the food up when prompted to Via the email I received. The other 3 people I brought got their food within the timeframe that the website suggested. Mine was not ready yet, which is not a big deal. So I went back to my car to wait for 5-10 minutes, and then went back into check on it. When I came back inside, the male owner proceeded to tell me that he didnāt appreciate my impatience, and threatened to not give me my order for no reason. All I did was simply check in on my order, and he gave me a huge attitude and told me flat out that he doesnāt ever want to deal with customers and that why they donāt have a regular storefront that people can come in and order at.
A woman eventually came out and brought us our food, and was apologetic and very nice. She was probably embarrassed because of the way she heard the guy speak to me, and rightfully so! The food was delicious as always, but that isnāt gonna keep me from...
