The Elbow Room — Restaurant in Bradley Beach

The customer service at this place was absolutely HORRIBLE. We have been at this place before and it was great but this past experience was just horrendous. A group of 5 of us went out for dinner and 4/5 received our meals at the same time. There was one dish missing and our very kind waitress admitted she didn’t realize that she did not put the one order in. We assumed that when the waitress went to put it in the kitchen that it was bumped to the top of the list. 45 minutes later and three other tables getting their foods and their checks, my friends food finally came out (which was just a buff chicken wrap). At this point, we asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation in which the OWNER came over, apologized, and said she would comp the one meal and a round of drinks. When we asked for the check, they asked what we wanted to drink and we simply stated that we didn’t want another round since it was so late and just wanted the one round we ordered comped. When the bill came out, our drinks we’re not comped and the waitress stated the owner told her she was now only comping the wrap. When I went to speak with her again, the owner was extremely passive aggressive and only told us we could only get another round comped but not the one we already had. The owner literally twisted her own words and in the end only comped the one meal, was extremely rude, and took advantage of the fact that we were a group of mid 20 year old females. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I will never return to this place and I will absolutely make sure that my family and friends never dine here. The worst customer service I have ever...

Had an awesome experience at the elbow room for dinner! The atmosphere was great and I really enjoyed the live music! Table set up was decent. During the dinner crowd, staffing seemed short, but it was clear they were stressed and doing their best.

The food here was very good. We ordered the mac n cheese balls and garlic mozzarella bites for appetizers and tried the watermelon mojito. Apps were delicious and hot. Seemed the drinks were decent but differed in taste despite being the same drink.

I was very confused how the ordering worked as we placed an order for apps and main courses at the start but was later informed that they would get the mains going? However, they came out quickly after that and were super fresh and hot.

The short rib sandwich was delicious and the quantity was definitely worth it for what you pay. The elbows and cheese were also really tasty.

The place can get busy around dinner and space is limited so I recommend getting a reservation in advance.

I do not EVER do this. But if you have any kind of dietary restrictions, please stay away from The Elbow Room in Bradley Beach! I was VERY excited about trying this place by the way.

After asking TWICE about a menu item having a gluten free wrap and being gluten free, they still decided to serve me BREADED CHICKEN inside the wrap. I told the waiter and he said “every buffalo wing is breaded, it’s the same concept.” And took half of the wrap I left untouched without saying another word.

I then mentioned to the owner that if you’re serving something gluten free, it should not have breading in it. Then she proceeded to tell me the menu says it’s breaded (which she then admitted it did not say anything about breaded chicken after I asked her to look at HER menu).

After that arguement she basically finished the conversation with “just because you order something on a gluten free wrap, doesn’t mean it’s gluten free.”
