Slice On Oak — Restaurant in Brainerd

First the good... pizza was fantastic!! Crust as good or better than advertised. The red sauce has the perfect combo of sweet and spice. The taco pizza is probably the best I’ve ever had. Then the bad... this place requires you to use door dash if you want delivery. Their website advertises free delivery on order greater than $15. On our $68 order a $10.80 door dash service fee is applied at checkout and they try to tack an additional 20% tip for themselves. Personally next time I’ll just drive over there myself and pick it up or I’ll dine inbecause the pizza is worth it...the delivery is a rip off. The ugly...we had some ordering issues when trying to order on the app to accommodate a food intolerance. I called and talked to young woman at the restaurant looking for some assistance. She was very rude. At one point she just hung up on me. I called back and talk to another gentleman after a lengthy hold he was helpful not sure what’s going on there but the customer service was spotty. The pizza was good enough so probably give them a second chance and hope this was just a bad...

First time here. Ive lived in NY and love NY NJ style pizza! Also am a fan of other styles but the NY takes it for me. This is probably the closest to NY pizza I have found. I ordered a small cheese pizza and an order of toasted ravioli. Im an original Stl Mo person so toasted ravioli is a staple! I did not realize they were cheese toasted ravioli. Those are not my cup of tea but the flavor was very good and cooked really well! I also ordered 2 slices while I was there with my kid just to see how they are. Very very good cheese slice. I recommend getting the fresh basil on it because to me it makes a cheese slice!! Crust even Davr Portnoy would be proud of. If going off his scale he would probably give a 7.5-7.6!! Which is very good. My scale i give an 8.3!! Really enjoy the slice!! I took the full cheese pizza home (30 minutes away) and ate a slice and it was very very good as well. They even add a melted butter in there which is amazing but not necessary!! Best pizza around here by a ling shot!! Only problem is now I'm going to Wana go to Brainerd more often...

The family and I were up in Brainerd for a getaway and in search of a good pizza place. The reviews for Slice On Oak were great, so we decided to give it a try. Wow, they were spot on. This place did not disappoint in the least. Great atmosphere, pour your own beer taps, a couple games for the kids and fantastic pizza!

Everything about this pizza is phenomenal, from the crust to the pepperoni. The crust was not doughy and not overly crispy, but just right where it should be. The tomato sauce was full of flavor and the perfect amount, which is hard to come by (usually there's not enough sauce). The mozzarella cheese was superior quality and not overly greasy. And the best part was the price was reasonable. I've paid much more for low quality pizza in the past, so this was a huge bonus. We also had the cheese bread and it was some of the best I've ever had. Don't forget to try the pistachio gelato; excellent.
