Remembering a great experience going to Ashley about 2 years ago, I decided this place would be my only choice when I’m in Braintree.   This place has gone downhill.   I ordered a gyro breakfast sandwich.  I expected a gyro breakfast fusion (cucumber, tomato, onion, tzatziki) with egg and cheese.   What I got was some type of frozen flat meat with egg and cheese.  That’s not a gyro.   My friend owns a sub shop, and he orders the same frozen meat.  Wife ordered an artichoke & feta omelet.  Some of the stems were not removed, leaving hard bits in the omelet.    While the taste was ok, visually it looked unappetizing. The worst was the waffle with ice cream and strawberry my daughter ordered from the menu.   After receiving the check, I discovered the breakfast was $10.99 and the strawberry was $1.50 MORE.   So deceiving.  It’s like ordering a chicken caesar wrap, but the chicken is extra.  Additionally, what a way to gouge prices, $12.50 for 1 big waffle, a scoop of ice cream, and some strawberries.  The best meal out of the 3 was the easiest to put together, the waffle.  Then there was the $1.84 "non cash adjustment" fee that also was not disclosed. I was so frustrated with everything, I didn’t even want to anger myself even more by fighting with the restaurant on the bad food and prices.  At no fault of the waitress, I still gave her a 15% tip.   I paid in cash to avoid any possibility for anyone to mess with my credit card. I am never returning to this place again.   If I could give a zero...

Saturday may 23rd i went to Ashley's for lunch with two friends ,it was 140pm and the waitress said they close at 200pm,,,,,,and i asked did she want us to leave??and she said no but that they would start cleaning at 2:00.We gave our order quickly and waited for the food. The cleaning did start but that was ok with us until the owner shut the lights out. As we were leaving i asked the waitress if the older man was the owner and she said yes. I stopped and said that i thought it was awful that he shut the lights out on us. My feeling is if they don't want people there past 2pm, don't say its ok to come in and then be so rude. The owner was extremely rude in front of the young employee when i mention it to him shutting the lights out .He grumble something and walked out to the back of the place. Shame on that owner for the way he acted. It was very said that a man that has a nice little breakfast and LUNCH place treats his customers so poorly. Shame on you!!! I will repeat this lunch story and over so people are aware of that the rude only and hopefully don't take a chance of getting treated like...

I could only explain my criticism of this restaurant based on my experience placing takeout orders as I have not eaten at this restaurant.

The food was fine. Nothing to complain about there. The service on the other ✋.....

Make sure you are not in a rush. If you order takeout for pickup, it will take an additional 15 to 20 minutes from the supposed time that the order will be finished. From talking to the waitresses they didn't even know how long the order will take if you order online. Based on what the waitresses told me, your take out order is cooked when the kitchen staff can cook your order. So I would imagine it's probably better to just eat there instead of ordering to go.

Also don't bother requesting condiments like hot sauce (like Tabasco or Sriracha) because they don't honor them. They won't give it to you.

I may edit this review in the future if I decide to dine in at this establishment. (It's probably going to be a while since the service wasn't the greatest for someone ordering to go let alone a tip was added to the...

So its been a year since I last had Ashley's. I decided to get food delivered to my job for lunch. I got apple pancakes, a breakfast sandwich without eggs and the Monte Cristo . It's still just average to me. The apple pancakes were good. Could have used a glazed apple filling on top but not bad. The breakfast sandwich was OK, nothing special and I've had better Monte Cristo's in too many places to be impressed with these offerings. I asked for sugar free syrup or a raspberry coulis, which is traditional in a Monte Cristo and I got neither. The delivery service was fine, right on time. I know for certain that there is better breakfast in Braintree (see my Kristin's review) In all honesty I just can't give Ashley's higher than a 3 right now and as long as this place has been around I don't see it getting any better.

I had the Big Breakfast at Ashley’s, and let me just say it was absolutely divine! Every bite was full of flavor and cooked to perfection, the kind of meal that leaves you both satisfied and craving it again the next day. The service was amazing the staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel so welcomed from the moment I walked in. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. And the atmosphere? Otherworldly. There’s such a unique charm to Ashley’s it feels cozy, uplifting, and like a little escape from the everyday hustle. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. Ashley’s is truly a gem! ✨ Will be going again when I’m back in Mass.
