Most recent visit to Jake and Joes in Braintree I literally had to turn around and walk out! The hostess was so unfriendly and unwelcoming I couldn’t stay. I already have terrible feelings about the restaurant ever since the younger general manager with dark black hair started working there. He does not care about customer satisfaction and is seen usually just fraternizing with the young female servers so this doesn’t surprise me. Went in for a table with my family and to watch football and was about to be sat at a low top table no where near the televisions and in a section with mostly kids. Usually they ask if you prefer high tops, booths, or table but this time they did not. Before following the hostess we asked is it ok if we have a high top table? The hostess did not respond or even make any eye contact or anything she angrily went back to the front to look at the seating chart with a disgusted look on her face. My husband asked is that ok? We didn’t want to make it a big deal…. She STILL did not even acknowledge that we were talking to her so said you know what nevermind 👎🏼 I guess they are ok with losing business and not providing a warm welcoming environment. I know they try to spread tables out to different servers but if a customer makes a simple request whether you can accommodate or not at least acknowledging them would be nice. Definitely the final straw with this place! Can’t wait for Tavern to open...

So I'll start off by saying they are still newly opened and we went on lunch. 1st think we noticed was beer/drink prices. About a 1-2dollar more on beers 4.50 for a budlight. Took about 20mins to get our drinks. Food was kinda bland I was expecting more. Apps and lunch came out within a few minutes of each other. We tried a app tower thought for 18$ it would be a deal. The boneless wings looked like cut chicken breast, fried calamari came with nothing but dipping sauce, was expecting it to be in a sauce or with peppers or something. And the cheeses steak bites were good but only 4 and very small. Black and blue burger was ok not something that really grab our attention. The bostonian black pastrami sandwich was the same. Needed some dressing or something. Our drinks went empty and again a longer than expected wait to refill. Just under 80$ with tip for 2 for lunch a bit much we have much better for half of that. It is a nice set up plenty of tvs like a more upscale buffalo wildwings. But again for the prices it be expensive to sit and watch a game. Think ill let them work out the newly opened bugs and try again...
