FOOD: overall very delicious, minor complaints here and there, and their water is fantastic. The chicken gyoza tasted great but a bit too light on the cooked side in my opinion; the soft/crunchy textures weren't as polarized as they can be for gyoza. also, there was no garnish or sides other than the sauce, which had a bit of an off-taste to me. The tonkotsu broth was delicious and is now on par with my favorite ramen broths. The noodle texture was perfect and the broth is so rich that it clings to the noodles in the same way that Ichiran does, and I say that in a good way. The chasu tasted great but it was almost too fatty, or at least the majority of the chasu pieces literally melted into the broth so I was left with slightly less solid meat than I was expecting. Their egg was also perfectly cooked but I would guess they are heavy on the mirin when they season it because it is a bit sweet for my taste, but it is more sweet than other ramen eggs, I just prefer mine a little more heavily salted. I also don't know what kind of pipes or filters they use, but I am not joking when I say their water is wonderful. Some places you can tell that their water isn't clean or filtered right, but whatever they do to get their water like that, I want it.
SERVICE: The staff was attentive and friendly in the ways I would want and expect.
ATMOSPHERE: casual and relaxed. It has almost the feel of a new age beer hall. Dark brown and black interior, sparse lighting. I don't know if I came in at a weird time, but there were nothing in the way of table dressing (napkins, soy sauce, chili oil, etc) that you might usually get, so I don't know if that's an aesthetic choice or not. They also serve their water in steel cups which I am...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon around 4:30 pm, and I was blown away by the exceptional service and food quality. My family and I were excited to indulge in some delicious sushi, but we were informed that the chef was not in on Sundays. Just as we were about to leave, Christian, one of the staff members, stepped in and offered to make sushi for my kids and wife. Not only did he take the initiative, but he also went above and beyond to create an amazing sushi experience for them.
The food was incredible, and my kids were thrilled with their meal. I opted for the ramen, which was as delicious as always. The customer service was top-notch, and Christian's willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction was truly impressive.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food and service. The staff's dedication to providing an outstanding dining experience is evident, and I will definitely be back. Five stars isn't enough – this place deserves a glowing reputation. I'll be bringing my family back soon to enjoy more of their...
Read moreProbably the best ramen I've ever had. Wife and I had been anticipating the opening for a while and we were not disappointed. We just went here for lunch on their second day after opening.
I got the Black Jack, and wife got the Tonkatsu ramen. Both were amazing. The broth is so full of flavor, and everything tasted so fresh. The noodles are house made and are amazing. The egg was cooked to perfection, and the pork was probably the best pork I've eaten (and I'm not a huge fan of pork!).
Atmosphere is really nice. It seems to be Korean owned and there was K-pop music playing. Style inside is really nice and relaxing. The ramen prep kitchen is open and visible, and it's super clean. Service was really good as well.
I'm so happy the place exists. Bridgewater/Branchburg is sorely lacking in good Asian restaurants- I've been longing for a noodle house for a long time. Ramen Ya is everything I hoped it would be.
If they started offering Korean food they would make a killing! There are zero good Korean restaurants in the area.
5 stars and a 10/10 for me. We will definitely be...
