HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We are no stranger to this restaurant and have ordered here before on multiple occasions and the service we received today was beyond unprofessional and disappointing. Don't waste your time and money here at this place who doesn't know how to treat their customers. Whether this be an act of blatant discrimination or just showing their lack of quality who knows.
We ordered online via the link from their offical website at 5:58 pm and received 3 confirmation emails. So at around 7 pm my mother and father went to pick up the order.
First, no one even acknowledged my mom and she waited patiently and asked the woman in front about a order under the name of Brittany Chin, she went to the back to ask about it but then never came back or addressed the order. We were understanding that it may just be busy being Mother's Day and all but AFTER WAITING MORE THAN 30 MINUTES. My mom finally asked again about the status of the order, so the woman went back to ask again, and finally came back to tell us they don't have the order??
During this entire situation the manager was just sitting there completely dismissive. And the overall attitude from the staff was completely neglegant and uncaring. Not even an apology? We understand fully that these are stressful times and it was a busy hour but that is no excuse for such uncaring attitudes like they could genuinely not give a sh*t.

All I have to say is that was the most bland food I have ever ate. I ordered the cheese and steak calzone, which was supposed to have onion and green peppers on it as well. It had no onions and peppers, but it did have ricotta cheese, which was not stated on the menu! I also ordersd the garlic knots, which were tasteless and the bread wasn't good at all. I ordered online, I am usually pretty patient, but after an hour I decided to call. The guy wasnt too friendly, he said it was on its way and would be here in a few minutes. On my gps it says this place is 0.12 miles away from me. So if it was on its way, why did it take another 20 minutes to get here? Dissapointed. Never ordering here again. Il Forno Restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping mall by NJ-28. There is ample parking and a good amount of seating inside the restaurant. The decor and atmosphere are reminiscent of an Italian marketplace given the painting and the lights hanging from the ceiling. The staff was very nice and polite.
The plain slice, while not appearing to look as appetizing as other pizzerias was actually quite fantastic. It had okay cheese, good sauce, and an excellent crust.
