Being duped by their new "glazed" bun, not once-not twice, but three times. The first was a total shocker they'd changed from their traditional sesame seed bun to an overly sweet split top bun. So bad of a pairing for a burger, I literally stopped at another burger joint to buy only a bun to trade it out. The 2nd time was because I totally forgot--choked it down regardless of my distastes for it. Tonight however--this Brandon MS location topped the rule of strikes for me. 3rd time DQ--you're out. I called this store in advance. I asked if they had an alternative bun besides the "sweet" bun. The woman who answered said yes, they still had a plain bun (and even said they'd never had a sesame bun--WRONG). Anywho, I drove over within 3-5 minutes. At the drive thru I asked for my meal selection, #5 -the 1/4 lb burger and asked they not use the sweet bun, rather swap it for a regular bun. I was asked to "hold on". SEVERAL minutes passed when a woman who sounded like the one I spoke to on the phone keyed up the mike--I said, yes, I want to order the meal #5 with a plain bun. She also said, "hold on". Another minute at least passed before she came back and said it comes with a plain bun. I said, oh, well, the picture doesn't show a plain bun, but it shows the split top sweet bun. (I figured since we had this conversation, we were totally clear that I did NOT want a sweet bun, but a plain bun. I drove around, thanked her for agreeing to swap the bun, paid and pulled around to a parking space to inspect my order. Sure enough, the split-top sweet bun. I marched right back inside and got my money back. Trying to explain anything more to them would have been like beating my own head against a brick wall. **by the way--this exact location has 3 strikes against them all by themselves--once I was served the incorrect order at the drive through--get extremely hot wings instead of a mushroom swiss, once because I never get cheese and my burger had EXTRA cheese, and then of course, tonight....
Read moreI needed a custom ice cream cake. I tried calling them for 7 days, many MANY times a day. No one ever answered. Running out of time, I placed my order online 4 days before I needed it. I put a note on the order for them to call me, in 2 different places on the order. Never got a call. So I started calling again, probably 12 times over the next 2 days to try to confirm the order. 24 hours before I needed it, panicked I was going to be cakeless I had to drive there to check on it. I was told they had the order and it had not been made yet. Someone was coming in Friday night to make it for me. I had scheduled it for pickup Saturday morning. When I asked why they don't ever answer the phone, I was "we answer it." Nevermind I called over and over the whole time I was driving up there and not once did anyone answer it. Probably close to 50 unanswered calls total. And I never did get any call for them. I went to pick it up Saturday morning. It looked nothing like the picture I ordered from, but it was ok and tasted great. However the ordering process was stressful. However today, Saturday September 30th, the person that took my order who claimed to be the General Manager at this location - was exceptionally rude and terse when I asked for a senior citizen discount and asked for a separate bag for my banana split! I have never seen customer service this low in a long long time! She offered No friendly greeting & instead offered lousy service like I was troubling her, she gave cold & overcooked food with long wait times - If this person was indeed the general manager she needs to get into another line of work because her sales & management skills are atrocious!!
