I always look forward to a stop at a Sonic Drive-in for my traditional BLT w/ cheese, no mayo, add honey mustard, and a Strawberry Limeade... This location in Brandon MS, however, is one I hope to never visit again.
I placed an order through my app and checked in at stall #10. After 12 minutes and a few order deliveries around me, I pressed the buzzer to check on my order. "Yes, I placed a mobile order that is no longer showing in my app, but I have not received it. Has it been prepared?" I said to the young lady over the speaker..... "Okaaay," she said... and then the red light went off on the stall. I waited about 20 seconds, buzzed back in, repeated my request to the respondent, and was asked to "hold on" without a direct response to whether my order had been prepared.
After a minute or so, I put my car in reverse to leave even though I had been charged for the order, but then someone came out and handed me the order without an explanation or apology.
The first thing I noticed was the time on the ticket was more than 15 minutes prior to me actually getting the order. Next, when I picked up the sandwich, it was completely cold through the foil. No problem....I actually do eat cold food. But when I opened the sandwich, I was completely done.... MY TEXAS TOAST HAD NOT BEEN BUTTERED OR TOASTED!!!! At least my strawberry limeade was delicious.
Service this bad was not worth staying at the restaurant to correct or address anyone. There was clearly a problem from management on down. No wonder the stalls were not full of morning drink stoppers.
Everyone has bad days or days where things are a little off, but it's a whole new level when bad service is given unapologetically. And the sad thing is... this kind of service without connection or rapport is becoming more of a trend in the...
Read moreWe just came home from Sonic. What a disgrace!!!! Wondering how it can still be open!!! We ordered a lrg chick popcorn, a chick combo and a lrg mozzarella stick. The order was taken by a person who wasn't very happy to Be there. She was kinda of rude!!! The food finally arrived and we didn't get the chick popcorn. So we tried to talk to the lady who took our order but we waited for 20 mins and nobody answer to our call even known there were only 5 cars waiting for their food. So as soon as I saw a young lady out delivering food I jumped out the car and told her that we were misssing our chicken popcorn . So kindly she took me inside their kitchen and I talked to the rude person that took our order. She gave me what I needed and a whisper of SORRY. I couldn't help it and noticed 2 other employee standing in front of me drinking slash from a cup and talking about their own business while I was there. So I said to myself. What a joke this place!!! We arrived home with our food nice and cold.... My husband combo had only 1 onion ring and his food wasn't as great as he was expecting. My chicken popcorns were dry, hard and ovrecooked. The mozzarella sticks weren't cooked properly so we ended up giving all our food to our dogs. This will be the last time I'll eat at Sonic and I'll pass my bad experience to all my friend and family.....its a shame because we used to love sonic after the past 4 times our orders have been messed up so much that I don't feel like to waste my money on crappy food and crappy customer care. If it was busy I wouldn't say anything because as I restaurant manager I understand the busy situations but the fact that there were only 5 cars waiting makes me thing that whoever owns Sonic is not paying much attention to who is hiring..... I wish I could give NO...
Read moreI have very rarely had a server that I was happy to see at sonic. Typically they usually just run through the order hand you your food and call it a day. However at this particular sonic late in the evening I went to get a drink that I had made up Fanta Orange, blue raspberry, strawberry, and blue Powerade. This particular waiter named Elias (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was very enthusiastic about serving me my order. Even actually bothered to ask if it was any good (being that the color completely changed from Fanta orange). I said yes and was very happy with the way he was very entergetic and engaging contact. The next night I went just to get drinks and he happened to be my waiter again HE SAID HE ACTUALLY LIKED THE DRINK. I was surprised he took initiative to try it after I suggested it . Most people would just look at you crazy thinking Those flavors don’t go together but he tried it. And once again great service. So, I don’t know who’s reading this as far as management goes. This boy needs a raise, maybe a managers job , maybe even a store to himself. You don’t get good customer service like that hardly anywhere these days.
