Truly exceptional service—absolutely above and beyond! I came in and ordered a burger and fries, and being a bit of a picky eater, I had some specific requests. They were incredibly accommodating without hesitation. I asked if bacon could be added to my burger, even though I didn’t see it on the menu. Without missing a beat, the woman helping me said it wouldn’t be a problem at all.

The food took a little time, but I wasn’t in a rush—and with burgers that big and fresh, I expected they’d take a bit longer to prepare. She brought out my fiancé’s meal first and kindly apologized for the delay, explaining that she was waiting on someone to return… with the bacon. That’s when I realized—they had literally sent a worker out to buy bacon just for my order. Talk about going the extra mile!

Taste of Detoit was amazing! Ate there for the first time today. I'll be eating here again anytime I travel through Brandon. I'm a downriver MI transplant living in Mississippi, and this downriver-rat (John's affectionate term for me) approves this restaurant 100%! This restaurant made me feel like I was back home- really does taste like home. The lamb gyro was on point!!! Highly recommend the lamb gyro!! The Belle Isle burger was delicious! I was so excited about the Coney dog and it did not disappoint. John, the owner and cook, was so friendly and fun to talk to. Really glad I got to meet him. The staff was so nice. The service was great. This place has made a Detroit family feel/atmosphere down in MS and I'm so glad I could be a small part of it today.
