I've waited 5 days before writing this review because I don't like giving bad reviews. I wish I would have looked at reviews on here before I had placed my order online. As I have 12 years food service experience with 2 years managing a similar pizza place, I have a better understanding and more compassion than most customers.
I ordered 2 pizzas with garlic knots at 5:45 PM on Friday. I pulled up to Papa John's at 6:10 and inched in to the already full lobby. Like I said before, I have experience in nightmare situations on the employee side of the counter. I recognize that it's not every employees fault and they are usual doing the best they can. However, only two or three employees seems to even care (one of which got called in and arrived after I had been waiting inside for 30 minutes). From a logistic standpoint, there is no reason there should have been any backup with the number of employees that were present. The manager seemed completely apathetic the entire time. After being there 30 minutes the manager had disappeared somewhere and I didn't see him again for the rest of the night. Pizzas piled up and just sat there because items did not get made that needed to in order to complete them or they were used for delivery orders instead. My pizzas were apparently ready at 6:15, but my garlic knots did not get made or were given to a delivery customer. No employees were looking at pizzas trying to complete orders. No communication ever took place as to what was missing or not, so customers like myself were left to just wait. If I wouldn't have already paid, I would have just left but I also had three extremely hungry kids waiting at home and it was too late to go anywhere else. Because of 3 employees, I gave this rating 2 stars instead of 1. There were two girls who were at the register (one there the whole time and one called in) that were kind and courteous through the whole thing. There was also a guy on the "cutting board" (cutting pizzas) that i could tell was doing the best he could but everyone else except these 3 seemed apathetic to a degree.
I was given the option of a redund after a few people had cleared out and a few others demanded one. I appreciated the offer bit considering it was close to 6:50 at this point I asked if they were just waiting on some of my order or all of it. Read moreI have ordered pizza from this location at least a half dozen times over the last nine months and not once have they delivered pizza to my house in under an hour. One time it took 90 minutes AND they sent the wrong pizza. Last night was the proverbial last straw. I ordered pizza online through the Papa John's app as I always do. It told me pizza would arrive in 41 to 51 minutes. At the one hour mark I called the store, and before I could speak I was placed on hold for four minutes. I hung up, and called back. I was asked to hold and I told the lady who answered that I was not going to hold and I wanted to know the status of my order. I hear her say in the background, "Hold on, I have an angry customer on the phone". I was annoyed, but I was cordial on the phone with her, which was apparently more than she could muster. She informed me that my pizza had just left the store with another customer's order. It arrived twenty minutes later and the pizza was barely warm. I live five minutes from the store! I have had enough! Clearly this location is mismanaged and the employees are incompetent and uncaring. Curiously, Domino's has no problem getting my order to me in under 30 minutes, and they have not once screwed up. As long as I live where I do, I will never again order from Papa...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FOR BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!! I was highly disappointed. I placed my order the day before the party. I was told I didn’t have to call to verify that it would be delivered on time. I could go into all of the little details but long story short, by the time pizza arrived we barely had 30 minutes to eat before our time was up at our party rental. All of my guests were asking if we had food (we had chips to go with our pizza and cupcakes intended for after pizza) and the children were so hungry. When we called all they said was “sorry, it will be there soon.” After another 30+ minutes went by I called again. I was told it would be there in 5 minutes. After another 5 or so minutes I called again and was told that they should be there any minute. When it arrived, it was hot and fresh- but the whole situation was incredibly frustrating and embarrassing. I was never offered ANYTHING for the inconvenience other than apologies. No refund, partial refund, nothing at all.
Very unimpressed. For $130 worth of pizza- you have to expect better service. Choose another location or just get little Caesars! Trust...
