Azaleas Garden Bistro — Restaurant in Branson

We were excited to try this restaurant for our weekly lunch outing with our extended family after hearing so many great things, especially about a server who’s been highly praised all over social media for being “phenomenal.” Unfortunately, our experience couldn’t have been further from what was advertised.

When we arrived, it was understandably busy, so we decided to sit on the patio where several tables were open. With three handicapped family members and a toddler, our focus was simply on getting everyone seated safely. The table we found hadn’t been cleared — there was food and debris left behind — so I went inside and politely asked the server (the one so often recommended online) if I could borrow a rag to wipe it down myself.

Instead of any form of courtesy, I was met with immediate attitude and hostility. Her response was, “You can sit out there, but we won’t serve you,” followed by, “Outside is for waiting on to-go orders only.” When I apologized and said we’d just leave, she replied, “Yes, please do.”

As someone who also works in the service industry, I understand how stressful busy shifts can be, but there’s no excuse for treating guests with such blatant disrespect — especially from someone who’s been publicly praised for her service.

We left without ordering, deeply disappointed. If this is how guests are treated when asking a simple, polite question, I can’t imagine how others might be spoken to on a bad day. Azalea's Garden Bistro is an absolutely amazing fresh lunch nestled between Branson West and Branson. My husband and I shared the chicken salad croissant, the chicken salad was great I loved the grapes and celery it has in it and the croissant was flaky and amazing; (pictured below) . We also shared the Hot ham and cheese panini this was our favorite. The ham was amazing and flavorful we had cheddar cheese on it. The Panini was toasted to perfection. What an absolutely unique place to have lunch! I had the blueberry compost turkey sandwich, and it was so great I got another one to-go. The menu is a healthy one! No heart attack burgers here. This place truly is a hidden jewel of Branson. If you're anywhere near silver dollar city, you should stop and check this place out.
