Hold Onto Your Hats, Folks, This Ain't Your Mama's Lunch! Let me tell you, my taste buds just experienced a symphony of flavor so powerful, it should be illegal. Forget Michelin stars, this is a five-alarm fire of deliciousness! I recently had the good fortune (and the rumbling belly of a famished explorer) to encounter a sandwich so legendary, it deserves its own ballad. If you're in Branson, MO don't miss out on this place!!!
First up, the Brisket sandwhich. Imagine a cloud (a very flavorful cloud) of slow-cooked, perfectly smoked brisket. This ain't no dry, hockey puck impersonator. This meat is so tender, it practically falls apart at the mere suggestion of a bite. And the flavor? Oh, the flavor!!!! It's a smoky serenade, a symphony of spices, a party in your mouth that just won't quit. Each chew is a revelation, a testament to the pitmaster's artistry.
Now, for those seeking a lighter (though no less delicious) option, the Turkey sandwhich is a revelation. Forget the dry, flavorless bird of Thanksgivings past. This turkey is juicy, perfectly seasoned, and did I say juicy... Each bite is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, a delightful dance on your palate.
The main attractions aren't the only stars of this show. The Mac and Cheese is a dream come true. Each perfectly cooked noodle cradles a decadent cheese sauce that would make angels weep. It's the perfect foil to the smoky richness of the brisket or the savory dance of the turkey.
And the Potato Salad Pow Wow? I mean, POW WOW!! Forget the mayo-laden mush you've encountered before. This spud spectacular is a delightful blend of perfectly cooked potatoes, diced vegetables, and a tangy dressing that will have you begging for more. It's the perfect summer side dish symphony, a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the sandwiches.
The Verdict:
This meal wasn't just lunch, it was an experience. A culinary adventure that left me wanting more (and maybe needing a nap!). If you're looking for a sandwich that will rock your world, sides that will steal the show, and a taste bud vacation you won't forget, then you NEED to try this place. Just be warned, after this, all other sandwiches will pale in comparison. You've been officially warned.
I told the cook before I left this was the best BBQ I've had in 3 or 4 years and I was going to write a review. This place is worth...
Read moreWe were staying in Branson for a family vacation. Looked online and saw this place was close, and the only place weâd seen with a 5.0 star rating. We had to check it out. At first, they told us they didnât have a high chair so we almost left but decided to just eat with baby on our lap. The seating is mostly outdoors, partially covered, picnic table and high-top style seating. We got the small sampler which came with every meat and every side. And everything was delicious. For the meats, the smoked Turkey was a surprising delight. I have never ordered Turkey at a bbq joint, but it was really good. The pork and brisket were delicious. The ribs were amazing, I couldâve eaten four or five more. Even the sausage (it was like a giant hot dog?) was really good. Every side was also amazing. My favorites were the potato salad and the corn elote. My baby ate most of the Mac n cheese but it was also amazing from what I tasted. The slaw was interesting and a bit spicy with jalapeños. The baked beans were delicious. The only thing we didnât get was the bacon, which is apparently pretty popular and also used in their apple bacon cobbler which I wish we wouldâve tried. The sampler fed two hungry adults, a tiny baby, and left us with a box of leftovers which I devoured the next morning LOL. The service was amazing, super friendly family establishment. If we ever return to the Branson area we will...
Read moreI really hate to give this place three stars because the people running it are extremely nice and helpful. My family and I left Silver Dollar City starving and wanted some barbecue and saw this place was highly rated nearby so we figured we'd give it a shot. The guy at the window was so nice and helpful. He told us all the pulled pork was already sold out. He offered to give us free samples which was nice. We ended up getting a mix of ribs and brisket. Some of the brisket was lean and some had more of the fat on it create also got a side of baked beans. I just don't understand how this place is getting so highly rated. The ribs were not good at all. Very little flavor and dry. Three of us got ribs and all of us thought they were not very good. You definitely had to add sauce to them to make them decent. The brisket that was fattier was pretty good, but the side that was more lean was definitely once again dry and very little flavor. All four of us got the baked beans and thought they were just okay. This is really sad because after meeting the people I wanted to give this place a great review but unfortunately the food just wasn't that good. Portion sizes were good though for the price. We go to Silver Dollar City all the time so we really wanted to...
