One of the WORST restaurant experiences we've ever had,and I mean that when I say it. From the start of entering the establishment, being seated and waited nearly an hour for someone to come to table for initial drinks. The only reason someone finally showed up was due to my wife approaching staff to ask where our server was at.
Then while ordering drinks were told they have no fountain drink due to a boil ban in place so they have limited drink selection. This isn't ideal but we went along with the program. So after ordering what drinks we had to choose from, the children in our group had ordered shakes because why not it was Halloween night and their night was ruined by a rainout. So as Nana and Pawpaw we treated them. In typical child fashion they drank them rather quickly, and then asked for water with dinner to which the waitress came with bottled water and ice in cups due to boil advisory. Spilled the cups of ice which my adult daughter helped the young lady pick up, and then told the waitress it's no big deal the kids can drink the water without ice it seemed cold enough.
Fast forward to dinner, which we waited again more than a half hour on food that came out over cooked, and burnt to the point most of that was not edible. While we're here let me add that my son in law ordered the hamburger steak off the menu, and what came out was less than desirable. Two frozen style hamburger patties with some brown gravy poured over top, might I add were burnt horribly to almost a charcoal look. As I stated above everyone's food was overcooked and most of the food went untouched or eaten because of this.
Now let's touch on the drink phase again since we're now eating dinner. My wife had initially ordered a canned sprite which was the option, and when the food came out had asked for a refill to which she was told they were out of sprite. The waitress stated anything she switched to would be free.So she switched to root beer. The waitress told her that the root beer would be 2 for 1 but then had to pay yet again for a drink even though they were out of the sprite which she initially ordered. Again how do you charge someone for a second drink choice that was given to you because your establishment ran out of the initial drink the customer was drinking.
Then we get the bill, which for what we were served wasnt worth the money ($160.00) we paid for our party of seven consisting of four adult and three children. But the real kicker is we paid $3.00 for each bottle of water and that was questioned only because who charges for water intially anyway when you go to a restaurant, well the waitress who went to speak to the manager about it, the manager then comes to our table. The manager in charge stated that was corporate pricing and there was nothing she could do about it. Said manager then added that due to the boil advisory she had to go to local Walmart and purchase bottled water and she paid over $10.00 for a case of Walmart Great Value water. I proceeded to look that info up at the local Walmart and showed her that the pricing was not infact $10.00 a case, infact it was less than $4.00 a case to which she replied " well that's not what I was charged". As a customer I am not concerned with what you paid for your goods. What I am concerned with is why your charging for water initially when water is free everywhere else I've ever been and eaten, not to mention your establishment is under a boil advisory which had nothing to do with your customer. I guarantee you we will never visit this establishment again, and will definitely let others know the way you treat your customers. The owners should be totally ashamed of themselves for either promoting or allowing this type of treatment of...
Read morePats BB has lost a local customer due to service and $3.00 additional charge!! . I RARELY leave these kind of reviews but after what happened tonight I’m extremely disappointed. I call to place an order to be picked up, like I have done many many times before. I asked for 2 mile high burgers, with seasoned fries, as it comes(14.50) . The young lady says oh we just ran out of seasoned fries. I said ok, what other options do I have since no seasoned fries?. She says sweet potato fries, onion rings, corn etc. and it would be 1.50 extra Per order. I said but you don’t have seasoned fries, why should I have to pay extra? She says it’s how it comes and Computer won’t let her change. I said ok well I’ll just have the burger, how much is that? She says 14.50!!! I asked to speak to a manager. She comes back to phone and says “ sorry manager is busy , can’t come to phone, but told me to tell you that’s how it will be as there is nothing they can do. I know it’s only $3.00 total but to spend our hard earned money on take out and have them not even want to help or try to substitute at no additional cost is not OK! I will no longer be a patron of this business due to this and rest assured I’m telling my story to others! There are many great restaurants that I can go to and at least be considered when it’s something that is out of my control. Do...
Read moreDoes Fat Pats train wait staff on how to actually be a waiter? Basic waiting tables 101, Appetizers are supposed to be served BEFORE the Entree, not with the Entree. Looked like it sat under heat lamp, it was not good. The main course, or Entree, we all had burgers, and they were all great. Is it something new, that when customer ask for the bill, the waitress is supposed to stand by table, and read out all the food ordered, out loud, and the cost of the bill, out loud, so the whole table can hear? I'm paying for the meal, its rude, to have my guests hear how much it all cost. Do they not print paper bills anymore? If it has to be digital, is there no way to hand me a tablet or something, with the bill itemized, and total? If this is whats normally the way yall do things at Fat Pats, I wont ever be going back. I spent $100 for dinner, and while the burgers were very tasty, I must say, the person that sat us down, must have been having a bad day, the waitress, while nice and polite, had no clue how to be a waitress. Good food, terrible service. Yes, I still tipped, because its not her fault she wasn't trained better. Appetizers are to be brought out, all at same time, and...
